Gaia Russo's car certainly seems to attract bugs. There's always at least ten of the poor little bastards squished on her windshield. She's not even surprised by it anymore.
At least not until an abnormally large spider-creature in red and blue spandex ends up crashing right into it after running out of web fluid mid-air.
─────•~❉PLOT❉~•─────
Gaia Russo doesn't like change. If she could direct the entire rest of her life, she would spend it in her room, switching comics and fighting over which fictional superheroes would beat the real ones in a fight with her best friend since childhood (who she might also have the tiniest crush on), Liam.
But Liam growing up a little too fast for her. They're back at school for their sophomore year, and all of sudden he's interested in sports and parties and girls, which — no matter how hard he tries to — he can't convince Gaia to enjoy. So, instead, he asks her to cover his shifts at the video game shop.
After being asked to cover one too many shifts, Gaia ends up crying in her car as it dawns on her that her best friend has completely moved on from her. Caught up in her own emotions, Gaia doesn't notice the Spider-Man plummeting towards her car until it's too late, and she's all of sudden caught up in the busy life of Peter Parker.

Gaia Russo's greatest sorrow is that she is, in fact, not related to the Wizards of Waverley Place in any way whatsoever. This sweetheart is obsessed with comics and video games, and the worst driver you will ever come across. (Peter Parker agrees.) She is the also the only Italian you will ever meet who does not like pasta. She attends Midtown High School, and enjoys her role as an invisible face in the crowd.
