How far can one go to break another?.

◇◇◇◇◇◇

"Humae toh ana tha jub ap yaha thi, hamara phir us mahfil mai kia kaam jaha ap nahi (I have to come when you are here. What's the use of staying there when you are not there)". He replied honestly as he feels that tonight his heart decided to speak who he had forced down

"Zalaan". She said not wanting him to do this

"Mujhe maaf kar dein (please forgive me). What my wife-". He started guiltily

"Ap ki biwi ka kasoor apka kaise (how is your wife doing your fault)?". She asked as she tries to hold her anger at bay remembering how she said he was her pet

"She is my wife". He said firm like he just reveals a secret

"Yes, she is. Her doing is only hers. But if you feel responsible for her why don't you do something about it?. Why do you have to bow your head down in shame as if you are a criminal?. Why the one who didn't do wrong had to look down in shame?. And then the culprit walks around freely?". She asked frustrated as the night falls her emotions were not in her control

"What's your story?". He asked leaning on the wall knowing she wasn't simply speaking to him about his issue

She chuckles bitterly, "I would not open that wound to bleed again".

His hand tighten around the wall painfully as it digs into his hand making some scratches. He doesn't know what had happened to her but while she looks in distance he looks at her eyes which held the pain, accusation and suffering that cannot be just told.

They night dissolve with their silence that scream too much.

The next day she sat in the terrace of her room looking at the far stretch of mountain where the sun will rise in about 3 hours. She cannot sleep the whole night with his eyes haunting her asking her questions of her hidden secret.

Secret she hides from herself.

Somehow something seems to be calling her watching the peaceful view like she thought would be peaceful wasn't anymore. She feels inside her a feeling of something missing like she was empty and she should know why she felt this but then she was oblivious of it.

Just as her feet start to move away and out of her room taking her somewhere. She finds a door of some room open and a light soft voice reciting inside. The voice was so soft that it calls her in the room. She finds his grandmother busy in reciting his Lord verse with so much love and trust that there was no one in between them. It seems like she was talking to him and he was talking to her through the verse she recites.

"Call upon Me; I will respond to you.". She said as his grandmother read a verse

His grandmother stops turning to look at her and a beautiful smile covering her lips as she opens her hand asking her to come to her. She takes slow steps towards her sitting in front of her.

"You learned it?". She asked amazed

She nodded, "I memorized it when I was 10".

The smile of her only further warm, "What is that is troubling you, my child?".

"I don't know". She said honestly as she desperately wants her to tell her a way to end this feeling that was eating her inside, "I use to love watching the sunrise or the hours before that but I couldn't sit still today. I feel like something was meant for me to do like someone was calling me but I have no idea how to reach".
