I felt my mouth fall open, "10 children, your mom must be a saint! I would love to meet them! What are their names?"

"Well I'm the oldest, then there's Alex he's 25,

Amy who's 24,

Alan who's 22,

Axel and Axina who are 20 and twins,

Ares, Apollo, and Artemis who are triplets and 18 years old,

and lastly there's Aidan who's 16."

From there we left the game and just went into a casual conversation. We talked for hours and hours and before long the sun began to peak through the trees outside the french doors of my parent's house. "Oh I should make breakfast now." I laughed getting up and going over to the coffee pot. "I can set up the coffee pot if you'd like to make the food." Alpha Arlo offered as he came around the island to help. I nodded and passed by him to get what I needed from the pantry and fridge.

I ended up making french toast and sausage patties. I couldn't really remember what everyone liked but I figured most everyone would like french toast. I staked up the pieces of toast and the sausage on a plate so as everyone made their way to the kitchen they could eat. I grabbed a plate for me and Arlo before the horde made their way in. I remembered that it was first come first serve around here. The first to make an appearance was my mother and father, they arrived hand in hand as always.

They filled their plates then sat across from Arlo and me. "Very good Lilly." Mom praised me, as she always did. She was never much of a cook so it was safe to say I took after my father and grandmothers. "So Arlo when will you and Lilly be moving into your pack?" My dad asked taking a drink from his glass of milk. He hardly ever drank coffee. "Well if Lilly is okay with it I figured we'd start moving things this afternoon since our house is only about 30 minutes from here by car and 20 by wolf." Alpha Arlo glanced down at me. I bit my lip, I was scared to move in with him already but I knew it was what a Luna was expected to do. My eyes knitted together I didn't remember a pack being so close to us before.

"The alpha of the Shear Valley pack was killed in a rogue attack along with most of his pack and in our pack treaty I was listed as the successor if the pack was ever under attack. With the pack having around 100 surviving members with a huge amount of land so I've decided to make use of the land and move another 400 members into a pack house and other living areas that are being built right now." Alpha Arlo explained. My eyes were about to bulge out of my head, "Y-you have 400 pack members?!" "Well actually there's 3683 members total." He replied watching me carefully. "How the heck do you manage 3683 members?" I looked at him wide eyed. "Well the pack is divided into 7 sections with around 500 members in each section.  I've appointed pack members to look after each section." He said. This was insane, I was fixing to be the luna of a MASSIVE pack!

Thankfully Jane walked into the living room talking to someone on her phone going on and on about the latest gossip in the pack. Typical teenage girl. She turned to us "I'll be headed to a friends chow!" I laughed, she was so weird. I grabbed my plate and everyone else's before heading over to the sink with them. I was rinsing the dishes when Kalen walked in with his mate. They were grinning ear to ear as they held each other close. I felt jealousy bubble up inside me, I wanted to be like that with Arlo but my fear was holding me back. "Oh good morning everyone!" Sasha beamed. When her hair fell back I saw my brothers mark on her neck...they had mated already.

I nodded to her before placing the dished down in the sink softly and making my way out the french doors of the house. I walked slowly till I was a ways away then I began to jog off towards the old tree I use to sit in so long ago. I sank down beside it looking out at the treeline.

Arlo sat and watched the demeanor in his mate change as she made her way out of the house. He quickly stood and followed her. He watched her grumble beside the tree and his heart clinched. "Lilly are you okay?!" Arlo called out as he made his way to my side. I shook my head no. "What's wrong?" He crouched down beside me looking me over. "I'm not physically hurt but I'm broken mentally, I want to be marked and mated, I want to let you get close to me, I was to be able to sleep beside you at night with no nightmares, I want to be normal!" I cried out burying my face in my hands as tears spilled from my eyes.

I felt arms wrap around me tightly, "Lilly there's nothing wrong with you love." I laughed "y-you have to say that because you're my mate." I felt the rumble as Arlo grolwed lowly, his chest was against my back, "no I say that because there isn't anything wrong with you, I love you for who you are and what you've been through. You're so strong and beautiful, I couldn't ask for a better match." I wiped my tears and turned around to look at him. "You love me but how?" He barely knew me. "I just feel it in my heart my love." Arlo smiled as he wiped the tears away from my face.

Alpha Arlow was surprised his mate wasn't pulling away from his as he touched her and held her. It had only been a day and the bond was already working well. He was afraid of how long he could resist his mate. God she was stunning with her long dark hair and almond shaped blue eyes. Her beauty could bring any man to his knees, but she was oblivious to it and that made her even more attractive to him. He brushed away her tears and tucked a few loose strands behind her ear.

I don't know what it was but I leaned forward and placed my lips on his. There were tingles between us and a fire sparked inside me. I deepened the kiss as the fire grew, burning brighter. My arms wrapped around his neck and he pulled me flush against him. Eventually we had to pull away to catch our breath, but it didn't last long as our lips were like like to opposite magnets constantly finding one another. Arlow began to trail kissed down to my jaw then to my neck on the opposite side of where Alpha Quill had marked me.

My little mate. His words rang in my head and then I was there his canines sinking into my neck once again. "A-a-r-rlo." I choked out trying to pull my self back from the memory. My mate didn't hear me his wolf was in control. I began to pull away, "Arlo." He still didn't stop! "Arlo!" I cried as my heart rate sky rocketed and pushed against him shoving him as hard as I could. Suddenly I fell back away from him. His eyes returned to their human color and he looked away from me. Was he mad at me?
