CHAPTER 27

The next morning couldn't have come faster. Both girls didn't sleep well tossing and turning in their respective beds. Jennie was both drained and just pissed off. A sleep deprived Jennie Kim isn't a good sight to see. She just wanted to tip toe back into their bed and sleep next to her fiancé. She didn't know she could yearn for someone just as much as she's yearning for even a small touch from Chaeyoung. She quickly realized that she hated sleeping alone. Rather, she hated sleeping alone without her love by her side. She was so used to having the girl beside her and now that she didn't have her she felt so lonesome she could die. Chaeyoung on the other hand was so fragile and just weak. The poor girl kept weeping all throughout the night. All her life she hasn't felt this empty.

Jennie, as usual, got up from her bed earlier to prepare breakfast for the both of them. She was placing the plates on the table when Chaeyoung entered the kitchen. The CEO's heart dropped when she saw the girl's eyes swollen and puffy no doubt from all the crying she did last night. She was sure the younger girl didn't get sleep because she didn't as well. "Hi i-I uhm cooked breakfast. Your favourite."

Chaeyoung just stared at her with a blank expression before slowly opening the fridge and pulling out a bottle of milk. "It's okay I don't want to eat. I'll just have milk." Jennie frowned at this. It wasn't like Chaeyoung to turn down food. The girl literally loves food and besides it wasn't healthy to not eat breakfast especially when she was going to attend classes.

"Please Chae come eat with me. You have a full day ahead of you and you need the energy." Jennie pleaded to the girl but kept her voice soft.

"I said I didn't want to eat Jennie!" she spat out rather harshly. She has never talked to Jennie that way. In such a cold harsh way. Her heart dropped further when the younger girl called her by her whole first name. She didn't call her Wifey, Nini or even love. Just Jennie. She didn't know that hearing her name come out from the girl's mouth would hurt her this much. Which is why the older girl was taken aback at her sudden outburst.

She dropped her head and started clearing the plates.

"I'm sorry"

Chaeyoung felt bad. She didn't mean to shout at the girl but she was frustrated beyond belief. She felt so guilty seeing Jennie so timid and apologetic in front of her but she couldn't help it. All she saw was the flashback of Nayeon's lips on hers and Momo basically caressing her fiancé. She couldn't get the image out of her mind and it was draining her in all aspects. She didn't have the mood to even eat.

"I'm going to get ready." The younger girl didn't even bother glancing at Jennie before she turned her back and started getting ready for the day.

It was a silent ride to school and usually they would have a comfortable silence around them but not today. It was uncomfortable. Neither girl didn't even bother putting on music. The second Jennie parked her car, Chaeyoung immediately bolted out of her seat and trudged her way into the building and Jennie was left in the car almost having another breakdown.

Jennie gathered herself and quickly put on her dominant façade as she made her way into her office but not before glaring at some freshmen who were lounging in the halls and smirking as they scurried off to their respective lecture halls.

Instead of heading directly to her office, Jennie knocked on Jisoo's door and opened it to peer at her best friend who was sitting at her desk. "Unnie can I come in?" Jisoo flashed the girl a gently smile before nodding and joining Jennie on the couch in front of her desk.

"How was your talk?" as soon as Jisoo mentioned it, Jennie immediately felt tears well up in her eyes. Her lips started quivering and her hands began trembling. The older girl gathered the fragile CEO in her arms and began rocking her in comfort as she stroked the girl's head in sympathy.
