Chapter 25

The night came where Asia and Jamal were going to go on their first date.

Asia opens the door and greets Jamal. "Hey", she said.

"Hey. Wow you look gorgeous", he said.

"Thank you", she said.

"Are you ready?", he asked.

"Yea but.. my ex husband would like to talk to you first. He just wants to know the guy that could possibly be around my kids one day", she said.

Jamal nods. "That's understandable", he said.

Asia let's him in the house.

"Nice house", jamal said not seeing Josh yet.

"Thank you, I brought it", Josh said as he stood up.

"Josh don't start", Asia said.

"I'm joking", Josh said with his hand out. "I'm Joshua"

Jamal shakes his hand. "Jamal", Jamal replied.

"Nice to meet you man", Josh said sitting down.

"You look pretty familiar", Jamal said. "Do I know you from somewhere?"

Josh shrugs. "What's your last name?", he asked.

"Henderson", Jamal said.

"Jamal Henderson.. sounds familiar", Josh said.

"We went to school together", Jamal said. "Yea. Yea .. Josh White right?"

"Yea", Josh said. "Oh shit that's right. How you been?"

"Good", Jamal said. "How about you? Still the plug?"

"Nah man, long gone. Since I met this one", he said pointing at Asia for a quick second.

Jamal nods.

"But um Asia he a cool dude. Good in my book", Josh said.

Jamal nods. "Cool", Jamal said.

Asia nods as she looks at Jamal. "Ready?", she asked.

"Yea", he said as he opened the door for her.

"Don't fuck up", Josh said. "Cause then I might have to fuck you up"

Jamal chuckles

Josh keeps a straight face.

"He's serious", Asia whispered.

"Oh. Oh yea of course", Jamal said.

Josh nods.

Asia walks out the house and Jamal follows her as he shuts the door behind them.

Josh goes to lock the door.

Nicole comes downstairs and stops midway when she sees Josh.

Josh looks at her. "Hey babygirl", Josh said.

"Hey daddy", she said with a smile.
