Jacob looked up from his phone and eyed Stevie across the table. "You sure are milking that song on your Instagram, aren't you?" He stifled a laugh.
Stevie took a sip from the cup of coffee in her hand and raised an eyebrow at her boyfriend. "And?"
"I'm just saying." He shrugged. "I didn't realise you'd be promoting it so heavily. I thought it was just for fun."
"Well, it is." Stevie furrowed her eyebrows slightly. "I'm just saying thank you to everyone who's listened to the song. Are you okay with that?"
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know... It just seems like you're annoyed at me for some reason."
"It was just an observation." Jacob raised his eyebrows and picked his phone up again, letting out a long sigh. "Jesus Christ. Calm down." He muttered under his breath.
Stevie stared at the boy from across the table, watching as his face became void of emotion once again. His attention focused back to mindlessly scrolling through his phone. She rolled her eyes and slumped back in her seat. It wasn't ever this hard before.
