The Kingdom of Mibeji was a prosperous nation built on ideals that stimulated unity, art, and education. Following her ascension to the throne, Reika Oryn publicly executed the previous royal family and reestablished a decree that considered documented magic users property of the Crown.
Twenty five years later, the creation of the Noctivagus Guild attracts the attention of noblemen, militant leaders, and foreign spies. The guild deals skillfully in blackmail and secrets. Noctivagus has a ruthless special operation known as Exercitus, an infamous force of ruthless augendaes.
When the king of Mibeji hires Exercitus to assassinate his queen, they are forced to tread a very thin line of being paid beyond their wildest dreams and treason.
