Chapter 2

The next day Jakobi was walking in his room playing his PS4.

Asia walks in and unplugs.

"Mom?!", Jakobi shouted. " I just beat that level it didn't save yet"

"I don't care," she said. "You're suspended. I said no games"

"ugh", Jakobi sighed. "I'm so sick of this place"

"See I know what the problem is. I've spoiled you two way too much. Now yall think yall can rule the world, that yall can do anything", she said.

Jakobi grabbed his ball.

"How about you joined a sport? Do something that will keep you out of trouble", Asia said

"I'll think about it", Jakobi said.

Asia shook her head. She picked up the console and said, "I have to go" .

"Thats nothing new", said Jakobi.

"What did you say?", she asked.

"Nothing beautiful mother", Jakobi said.

"Mhm", she said as she walked out.

Later that day, Asia was still out at work. So Nicole and Jakobi we're home alone.

Nicole sneaked in the house and upstairs and got to the door of her room.

"Where you been?", Jakobi asked. "Especially dressed like that", he said standing at doorway.

Nicole rolled her eyes. "Mall", she said.

"Did mom say you can go to the mall?", he asked.

"Mom doesn't know because she isn't here as usual", Nicole said.

"Don't do that. Momma does the best she can to provide for us", Jakobi said.

"Says the boy who's gonna flunk hisself outta school", she said.

"Says the girl who's gonna be pregnant before she reach 18 messing with them seniors", Jakobi said.

Nicole was silent.

"What no comeback?", he asked.

"Just don't tell mom okay? It was just the mall", she said.

"Whatever", Jakobi said.

"Besides I know something that you don't think I know", she said. "And mom would not like that"

"What?", he asked.

"You don't think I know you're in that little gang?", she asked.

Jakobi was silent.

"Exactly", Nicole said. "So, please let's not"

"You the devil", he said.

Nicole smiles and walked in her room.

Jakobi shut his door and sat on his bed. After a moment he got on the floor and looked under his bed for his shoe box. He opened the box which contained a gun. He checked it out and then he put it back under the bed. He sits on the bed and lays down and throws the basketball up and down.

Asia gets home and checks the mail box. She looks through the mail as she walks to the house and hear a noise so she stops and looks around. She doesn't see anything so walks in the house.

"Hey lovely mother", Nicole said.

"Yes?", Asia said.

"My friends are having a sleep over tonight and I-"
