Hi everyone! Thank you so much for giving Alpha a chance. The book has been climbing through the ranks lately (which is absolutely wild), and with so many new readers coming in, I wanted to set a few things upfront before you continue.
First—I'm not a professional writer. Alpha is still a work in progress and will be finished by the end of the year, with a full edit happening next spring. So if you see rough edges or moments that feel a little raw, that's because they are. You're reading this story as it's being built in real time.
Second—please remember I'm a real person behind the screen. Sharing creative work online is exciting, but also terrifying. I don't expect everyone to love every line, but hate or disrespect will be blocked and reported. This is a passion project. It's supposed to be fun, meaningful, and a space for storytelling—not hostility.
About the writing style: this novel leans more lyrical and metaphor-heavy than some of my other stories. It's intentional and tied to Ripley's POV and the world I'm creating. Some readers vibe with it, some don't, and that's totally okay! Just keep that in mind as you dive in.

This story is my first ever Wattpad baby from 2013, when I was 13 years old, and now that I'm 25, finishing it feels like coming full circle. I hope Paxton and Ripley pull you in the way they've pulled me in, and that you enjoy this journey as much as I've loved writing it.
