*A few hours before Adrien visited Marinette's grave*
Adrien fiddled with one of his book bag straps nervously. The lunch room today was packed, and the usual table he sat at looked less appealing now that the people sitting there were no longer important to him.
His eyes roamed the cafeteria until he found Kagami, sitting alone in an idle table in the corner. She always chose that table everyday and seemed to greatly enjoy sitting alone.
No one dared to approach her either, too afraid that she might cut off their hand with her épée.
Nonetheless, Adrien slowly made his way over to her, mindful that a few pairs of eyes were watching his every move. He paid no mind to any of them. Even some of the people he once called his 'friends' glanced back, gesturing with their eyes for him to join them for lunch; to be like them once again, but Adrien pretended he couldn't see them.
He didn't want to be like them.
Being like them caused him to lose someone dear to his heart.
