Thursday 30th January 2020,
Reyna, Lyria and I walked through the doors of Nga Pou Waitangi, I noticed her right away she was sitting in a circle with some other kids in the class, she was beautiful. She was wearing oddly shaped glasses outlined in gold resting on her nose. She had small pink lips curved up in a smile and chestnut hair that fell to her shoulders, it was straight but had a slight wave towards the end.
"Maylea!" I whipped my head around
"yea?"
"I've been calling your name for like three minutes. What's up?"
"Nothing I just spaced out sorry.''
''Well, the class is starting c'mon.''
We made our way to the circle and sat down, our teacher was calling the roll.
"Nilsa?" "yes!"
"Asteria?" "here."
So that's her name, Asteria, it suits her. She must have felt like someone was looking at her because the next thing I knew she looked up. Our eyes met and I got to see how truly captivating hers were, they looked as if they were oceans of icy blue waters with galaxies scattered in their depths, two blue orbs holding the world. Her eyes held her dreams, magic, kindness, and beauty. I almost got lost in their depths, but she looked away. I was sad that she did I wished for nothing more than to gaze into her eyes all day.
