I stood amongst a crowd of people. It was a colourful crowd, with uniforms of all colours and sizes, representing their alma mater.

I felt confusion, coupled with feelings of fear and anxiety. After being holed up in my house for so long and only ever interacting with friends, talking to strangers was scary and weird.

But these feelings diffused a little as a pleasant girl started talking to me. And soon, another girl chimed into our conversation. I learnt of their interests and dreams. We hung out together. But since we didn't have much in common, the conversation ran dry.

It made me miss my friends and classmates back in my secondary school. I had the sudden urge to see them.

It wasn't that the people I met were nasty, or mean. I just didn't feel like stepping out to make new friends. These new friends didn't click like how my old ones would.

I feel bad.
