I'm Edison Grey, a student in the morning, a disk jockey at night. DJ Edie as they call me.

I didn't like music at first. Hindi sa hindi ako nakikinig at all. I just don't find any music that will suit me and my experiences, not until I met her.

Flashback

Nakatambay lang ako sa park, watching all the people pass by. I like observing people. I like seeing their responses on things and how they walk while talking to someone on the phone, while texting someone on the phone.

I don't have anyone to text or call. Mag-isa na lang ako sa buhay. My mom died when she gave birth to me while my father died of heart attack. Nabuhay ako gamit yung mga pamana nila saken. I made sure to put it to good use. Nagttrabaho din ako while studying para naman dagdag pera.

Nagulat na lang ako ng may naglagay ng earphones sa tenga ko at may tumabi saking babae.

"Hi!" Kaway niya habang nakasalaksak pa rin sa tenga ko yung earphones

I was about to remove them para marinig ko siya but she stopped me. She made the volume high enough for me not to hear her clear.

Daldal lang siya ng daldal habang ako walang naiintindihan kundi itong kanta. I was just staring at her face while listening to this music.

The moment the song stopped, she got the earphones from me

"Thank you!" Then she left running away

"Wait!"

I don't know what's with that girl and what she did to me but I wanna find her, and my only clue is the song she played in my ears. Mahirap na clue pero gusto kong subukan. Being a dj is one of the options I had, it'll expose me to same genres of music at baka sakali through that, I can see her again.

"In denial? When did I deny?" Napatawa na lang ako ng mahina mag-isa habang nakikipag-usap kina Hanson sa group chat

"Sana makita na kita daydreamer..."

Nag-ayos na ko papunta sa pinagttrabahuhan ko bilang DJ. Another night, another hope...
