"So Rebecca how was you trip to Peru?." I asked she just came in settling her bags down on the bed. She's been gone for a month and even though we fight and argue I must say I only missed her a little.
"It was great and so beautiful I wish you would have been there." She said. She works as an actor now, she used to be an travel agent in Puerto Rico, also the place where we first met.
"Glad you enjoyed yourself." A minute later Jackson came running
"Where is everyone else?" she asked
"Well Oria and Rich should be at school and Iris should be at the studio?"
"Mommy." Jackson said running as she picked him up
"Hows my handsome man, haven't been giving Daddy any trouble I hope." She said kissing him on the cheek
"Ive been uh good boy." he said. I raised my eyebrow
"How about you tell mommy what you did last week."I said knowing he was going to lie by the expression on his face.
"i didn't do anyting."he said
"what did he do?." Rebecca asked
"well he thought it would be a good idea to put all his toys in the bathtub causing it to flood."
"Jackson is this true." she asked him. He started pouting with his lip out
"Sorry mommy." he said
"Aww it's ok, hey about you go to your room for a bit ill be up in a second." she said. Jackson left the room and Rebecca vegan unpacking usually I would help her put up her things anytime she comes home, but I figure she could do it her self. A brief silence was
"Would you mind helping me unpack, Michael." she asked
"No, I think you got it." I said flipping through the channels on the tv.
"I don't know where this attitude is coming from, but I had nothing to do with it." she said
"If only you've been here for the past few weeks, Oria been giving me an attitude, Rich is gay and Iris doesn't want to work on music or doesn't have time." She went into the walk in closet to put up their suitcase.
"Michael you have to realize their aren't kids anymore you can't stop them from growing up and living their lives."she asked
"wait wait you mean to tell me you knew about Rich being gay." I said
"of course I was the first one he told it too and I'm sure Iris will get back to music once he settle things with his girlfriend." she said. Girlfriend Iris never told me he had an girlfriend.
"So everyone just talking to you now, am I not their father or something." I said folding my arms
"Dont be silly, it's just that you have a way of saying your opinion on things. Like what Oria told me about you for getting to pick her up." she said. I hope she didn't tell her everything.
