I'm so happy all my hard work payed off. I got the role for the show, I can't wait to tell my dad once he gets home. I just i hope run into him before mom does, cause she's pretty mad at him for forgetting their anniversary. I brung my friend Shanice over from school, she been my best friend since the first grade. She's practically like a sister to me, since I'm the only girl amongst my sibling.
"So, how did the audition go?" She said plopping on my bed
"Well yuh girl got the gig." The expression on her face was priceless
"Oh my gosh I'm so happy for you do you know what this means now? You can move out and be on your own and I can come over and we can have parties."she said hoping up
"I don't think my Dad is going to allow that." I never told her but my dad expects me to go to college and doesn't want me falling under the fame category
"What why? I know this house is big and all but you need to move out sooner or later. This is your last year of high school and you need to be out on your own." She said
"Sounds like you want me out." I sat down next to her
"Girl you know I only want the best for you. You can't be a daddy girls forever."she said I rolled my eyes
"Speaking of Daddy, where is he?" She's always had this little crush on my Dad.
"Shanice!" I looked at her
"What!, I mean he is handsome, along with that fine brother of yours." She said pulling out her phone
"Ima need you to stop." I said laughing
"Where is he anyway?" She asked
I sighed "probably working on music as usually."
"Oh yeah I heard him on the radio the other day, he sounds pretty good."she said. I opened up my laptop and saw all my assignments were complete
"I have nothing to do. Got any ideas?" I looked at her then she looked back at me
"I have something in mind." She went in her purse and pulled out a bag of weed already rolled.
"Girl are you crazy! My mom is downstairs."
"Key word downstairs, we're not gonna get caught." Just as soon she grabbed one of the blunts out i heard my Dad call
"Oria." He called coming up the stairs.
"Put it away." I whispered telling her to to hurry
"Oria, are you up here?" I heard his voice getting closer
"Um yes I'm in my room." We both sat on the bed trying to look casual
"Well hello Oria and...Shanice." He said trying to remember her name
