I'm sitting in the car waiting in Portia to get some breakfast man I have never been this hungry before... I just hope that this single that I'll put out next week will sell. Hopefully at least 100,000 in streaming. I was writing a bit till I heard a knock on the door.
"Open up," Portia said finally food I could smell the bacon and eggs from outside the car she walked around and came in on the passenger side
" alright it's not much but it'll last till you get to the studio and I'll just steal some food from the refreshments table when no one looking." She said
"You won't have to do that," I said she looked at me confused
"Well, no one else is gonna help us get a meal." She said
"I'll ask Iris I was with him last night he seems like a cool guy coming from millions and all I'll just tell him that I need just a bit of groceries for a week I'm sure he'll help," I said
"Where the fuck are we gotta put groceries there's no refrigerator in here." She said
"Relax I just won't ask for things that need to be refrigerated," I said
"Alright now... but don't keep asking him for help... you know you don't want to make it seems like he's being used." She said
"I know I know but what other choice do we have... I'm sure my single will sell next week and we can go and rent out a hotel room." I said I have confidence that my talent will take us further than I can imagine
"You do have talent." She said then we heard a knock on our door I rolled the window down and it was a police officer..shit.. what do they want.
"Is there a problem officer," I asked he looks tall about my skin complexion but with a beard holed he'll cut me some slack for whatever the problem is
"Yeah we're gonna have to impound your car it's been sitting here for weeks illegally park.. so for you to get it back your gonna have to pay the tow company." He said well damn that ain't slack and all and if it's been sitting here for a week why didn't no one say something
"What you can't do that! Like you said it's been here for a week why just now decide to do something." Portia said with an attitude
"Look I don't want to make it any more difficult than what this is... a man at a shop has been complaining that you're taking up space for his business and he's been watching y'all for the past week so be lucky I don't suspect you of anything else." He said I didn't like his tone all Portia did was suck her teeth I looked at the time and it was eleven thirty my studio session starts at twelve gonna be late cause we're gonna have to walk now.
"Ok ok so how much will it cost to get out a car from the towing company," Portia said
"About a thousand to three thousand dollars." He said Damn we wouldn't even know where to get that type of money from.
