It didn't take for him long to notice the lipstick smear right on his exposed neck that came from Elsa herself. He chuckled slyly to himself since he decided to keep it, careful to not tug his collar too hard.

But the people surrounding him doesn't seem to notice it.

It was the only source of reassurance to the swarm of ladies speaking to him with dreamy stares and sighs in each word he spoke.

While he is uncomfortably standing with a group of doe eyed maidens, his wife is currently speaking with the Prince of Denmark himself and the Prince of Finland. While he doesn't mind the lanky toned latter, the Prince of Denmark is actually competition to him.

The brown haired, baby blue eyed man he is, he flashed the Queen of Arendelle a charming smile, his one gloved hand currently holding Elsa's, not noticing the sapphire wedding ring that fitted her dark red gloved finger. He must've mistaken it as accessory jewelry.

Elsa found his gaze and mouthed a very desperate 'help' and returned to fix the Danish man a forced, flattered smile as a response to his admiration of her beauty.

The Prince of Denmark is figuratively like a broken record of her, speaking so highly of her as if she was a worshipped goddess. Aiden does the same too, but he loves her beyond her angelic face, both of them knows that.

Aiden nodded apologetically at her and grunted protectively, excusing himself much to the maidens' dismay.

"Oh! Aiden, lover," Elsa smiled in relief, feeling her husband's arm around her waist, "Prince Lucas, I would like for you to meet my husband, King Aiden of Arendelle."

"Oh darling, you need not to announce my title so formally," Aiden smiled playfully at his wife before shifting his facial expression from delighted to solemn, turning to the Danish prince, "Very lovely to meet you." He towered over him.

Lucas fought back a gulp and stammered, which is very unlikely of him because of his well known confidence. "I-i.. You're one lucky man, your Majesty."

"One lucky man I am.." Aiden stared him down, Elsa suppressing her giggles to remain regal and reserved for the rest of the ball.

"Queen Elsa, King Aiden. The Princess of Spain, Princess Maria The III."

"Pleasure." Aiden nodded, eyeing the dark beauty, then remained slightly unimpressed.

The Spanish royal is one sight to behold, her glamorous face and well toned form almost rivaling our dearest Snow Queen's, but of course, Elsa is a beauty that cannot be tamed that easily. Maria has dark brown curls, and fair skin that is a bit rosy on some point. She has attractive hazel brown eyes, yet, those almond shaped gems has a very mysterious glint in them.

"King Aiden, Arendelle is one beautiful kingdom. Kudos to you, my king." Maria broke into a well mastered curtsy.

"I appreciate your feedback about my wife and I's country," Aiden smiled gently, before wrapping an arm around his Queen's shoulder, "But l would like to give all the credits to my wife, she deserves it."

Elsa blushed. One of the things she loves about the man beside her is how he never forgets to give credits to his partner or how he corrected the Princess of Spain about their monarchy. The Spanish royal didn't even care to address her.

"Would you care for a dance, King Aiden?" Maria smiled innocently, offering her hand, "To dance with the legendary fire king is one of the things in my list I wish to accomplish I wrote down before I sailed."

Elsa forced a hesitant nod, after Aiden looking at her carefully for permission. Aiden took the princess's hand and accepted her offer, the two walking to the dance floor and beginning to swing off a waltz.

Elsa quietly sipped her wine, her eyes lighting up once a certain ginger head approached her with a grin, "Enjoying the party so far, Els?" Anna beamed.

Elsa gripped the wine glass tightly, frost beginning to form on the handle. Anna gazed at her worriedly, "Um.. I'll take that as a no?"

Elsa nods silently.

"I see." Anna tugged on her collar sheepishly, finding the fire king and the Spanish royal on the dance floor, the princess enjoying herself quite well. She forced down a growl to escape her lips after seeing how Maria hold Aiden's wrist maybe a little too tightly.

"Isn't it normal in a ball for someone random to ask someone random too to dance?" Anna tried but failed miserably to lighten up the ice queen's mood.

"She's trying something, I can tell." Elsa muttered darkly, her flushed cheeks caused by masked fury.

"Trying what?" asked Anna.

"Trying to steal someone."

"Ooh... Elsa, are you jealous right now?" Anna gasped in disbelief and laughed, "This is a priceless moment! Oh good lord, my sister is jealous!"

"W-whatever do you mean?" Elsa huffed.

"Oh admit it, sis. You're jealous of Princess Maria, you know, the one dancing with your lover boy."

"Wow, that helped me ease my nerves."

"Sorry, sorry. Well... What are you going to do now?"

"Hm, what am I going to, really? Ah, I'll make him sleep on the couch tonight." Elsa smirked evilly.

"Elsaaa, it wasn't Aiden that wanted to dance. I bet he's just trying to be polite, nothing more."

"Indeed, polite." Elsa muttered.

"Elsa." Anna warned playfully, "You're really cute when you're jealous. I don't even know who's more possessive between you and Aiden. Well... I certainly have my answer now."

"You don't say?" Elsa growled in response once she caught how the Spanish royal hold the fire King's hand, frost beginning to blanket the floor she stood on.

"Woah... Hold on there." Anna chuckled nervously, "Why don't we get some chocolate by the corner to ease you down? There are cream filled ones! I can never forget to remind Chef Leonardo to make some just for the two of us."

"I can resist chocolate just for this moment." Elsa shot the Spanish princess a dirty look without her noticing, "I've had enough of other girls going doe eyes at my... at my king."

"That's some.. Defense you got there," Anna laughs, "Unity Balls should happen often." She whispered faintly to herself.

"What exactly are you going to do?"

"Ah, simple. I'm just going to show the Spanish princess what's my territory and what's not hers."

"This ball might be the best party I've ever attended." Anna grinned excitedly, "Can I be your sidekick? Don't worry, all I'm going to do is back you up and stand behind you."

"It's your choice, Anna."

"Yes!"
