I just needed to get away today. I needed a break so I dropped my kids off with momma because kentrell was gone for the day
"When I tell y'all Micah got bad as hell. I mean it! I didn't even know my little angel could become the devil's child" Makayla told us while she dipped her fries into ranch and ate them. Instead of listening to her talk, I was focused the picture on the wall behind her and Lena. I guess Elena realized it so she looked at me funny
"The hell you looking at?"
"Is it me, or is that lady looking right back at me?"
They both turned to look at the picture then back at me and I laughed
"Girl what's wrong witchu?"
"I why something gotta be wrong with me?" I laughed
"Cause" Elena started speaking as she pulled now 6 months old Kennedi's stroller closer to her "you been acting weird lately. Zoning out, keeping to yourself and that's just the least of it"
"I'm fine"
"You're not though. I've known you long enough now" Makayla told me causing me to laugh "so hows everything going with the new addition to the family"
"Karter... he's a good kid..." I answered while stabbing my fork down into my pasta "he don't act nothing like his momma and especially not like Kentrell"
"Is that good or bad?"
"Great" I quickly responded before eating the pasta on my fork. Elena laughed
"I gotta meet this lil boy"
"Kentrell's supposed to get him again this weekend. He might finally let y'all meet him. I guess he was tryina get Kemoni and Nasir used to him first"
"Kemoni already don't like sharing Kentrell with Nasir. I wanna know how that working out"
"It depends. They friends most of the time but it's until Karter gets Kentrell's attention that she decides she wanna start giving the lil boy hell"
"I believe it. Tell Kemoni she gone have to get out of this daddy's girl thing cause now she gotta share Kentrell with 2 other people"
"Two other BOYS. Remember she still the only girl" Kayla reminded Elena and I nodded
"Yeah and we all know that's Kentrell's favorite child"
"Unless noel pop out another girl"
"No ma'am. Not no time soon"
"Why not? Kennedy gone need somebody to play with"
"She got all these damn cousins already. She got Micah, Kaleb, Bryson, Kemoni, and Nasir. That's more than enough people to play with" I reached for my cup and took a sip from it "more kids is the LAST thing on my mind right now. You know who need to have a baby? You and Boomer" I nodded towards Kayla
