"I was doing so good by myself" I sighed while I laid back on my bed, talking to Tip as we sat on FaceTime. She rested her head in her hand before speaking
"You still can do good Lena. Yeah you gotta baby now but I mean, that should give you an excuse to go 10 times harder"
"I mean.." I sat up straight "Yeah I'm doing good money wise, but when it came to having a baby I wanted to be settled down and I wanted to most definitely be certain I knew who the father was without having to guess between two people"
"Well whatchu gonna do About that? Do either of them know yet?"
I shook my head
"I actually invited Kd over here today so he should be here any minute so I can tell him. And as far as Donovan.... we haven't been on good terms since we broke up. And to say that he moved on my name is always in his mouth"
"Yeah I saw his Instagram live the other day when he fussed cause a fan asked how you were doing. He was doing the most"
"Girl when is he not doing the most? And I know for a fact if this baby is his shit gone get a whole lot crazier"
"But I mean at least you'll be able to put him on child support if you want to. The baby'll be taken care of great"
"Money ain't a thing. I can take care of this baby financially by myself. I have the money to, but it's gonna be a whole lot more to it than money. I've witnessed broken families, Hell I was apart of one and ain't shit sweet about it. That's why I'm low key hoping this baby is Kd's because I know for a fact I won't have to worry about all this drama like I do with Donovan"
"Well do you think it's a strong possibility he could be the father?"
I shrugged "I really don't know. But at the same time I'm scared that it's not his because before Donovan and I broke up he was talking about getting me pregnant and a whole bunch of other shit. Plus Kd and I were together for damn near two years and he rarely used a condom but I never had a pregnancy scare"
Tip rose her eyebrow and I could hear a knock at my door
"That's kd. Hey, ima call you back okay?"
"Alright. I gotta go see how this these girls are doing at the store anyways. Just call me later tonight. And good luck"
"Alright" I replied before hanging up. I sat my phone down and stood up off of the bed, exiting the room and answered the door. Kd stood there eating fries out of a bag and carried a drink as well
"Ouuu food" I snatched the bag from him and he looked at me some type of way while walking into the house
"Whatchu called me over here for? I was bout to go to sleep"
I followed him into the living room and sat down while he rudely sat on the arm of my chair beside me, something he already knew was a pet peeve of mine but that wasn't important right now
"Listen..."
"I'm listening" he responded "what? You dying?" He then took a sip from his drink and I shook my head
"No. Try Pregnant"
Just as I said that, he damn near choked on his drink and looked at me some type of way
"PREGNANT!?"
I nodded and he sat his cup down on the ground before looking at me. By the look on his face, I already could tell he was kinda hurt and that's when I knew he what he was gonna ask next
"By Donovan ain it?"
I looked down at my thighs and then back up at him after a while
"To be honest... I don't know"
"You'on know? How the fuc-"
"Kd the doctor told me the date of conception was around the week of my grand opening"
When I told Kd that, his face softened up a little bit and he pointed at himself
"So this might be MY baby?"
"Yeah"
".......Elena........ forreal?"
"Yes Kelldrick. Why would I lie about something like this. And right now I don't know what the hell to do. It's all to crazy for me right now. I'm trying not to stress but this shit is complicated"
Kd sighed and stood up, grabbing my hand to pull me up as well and hugged me tight. I could feel his heart beating through his chest but I didn't say nothing. Instead I just hugged him back
"How long you knew?"
"About 3 weeks"
"Damn Lena... well no matter what, you know I gotchu and this baby. And that's a promise, Alright?"
I nodded and he kissed my forehead before hugging me again.
Damn I hope that this is Kd's baby

I'm in the middle of unpacking my apartment and getting stuff finished for school so I can't do too much today. Hopefully I'll have time to make a longer chapter tomorrow
