My name is Hazel Brooks. I am 16 years old, Latino, and I live in the Brooklyn, New York with my mom and dad. Life for me isn't a bowl of cherries. Its more like hell. I would rather burn in hell than live in it. My mom and dad are both addicted to crack, so there's really no parenting going on in my house. I always hear older people say "be grateful because things could be worst" and I've learned that's the biggest lie in the world.
Things couldn't get worst. I was a crack baby. Everyone knew my parents and knew what they did. My life wasn't a secret. It was a freaking reality show for the whole project.
I hate living like this so much it hurts. I cry every night. Every night I cry harder and longer than the night before because I know things will never change. I prayed, and I prayed, and I prayed long and hard but its like I'm talking to nobody.
Its like I'm cursed
