I gaze upon the beautiful lines you had written,
Eloquent and articulate, those got me smitten;
Sketching details of our cheer, sorrow and strife -
Every little secret of monotonous circadian life.
Yet when I look into and read between the lines
I start to see the deceit that had started to shine
Long before it surfaced; facade got me so allured
That I forgot myself and let my heart follow yours,
Only to be crushed and discarded in utter shame
For I misjudged your sordid and amorous game.
Now the pages are yellow and you're gone
Alas! You never meant to stay,
And I'm left with these godforsaken letters
Safe in my heart, locked away.
Now I'd like to take
A few more of your moments
Tell me if you've liked
