Gary, Indiana, was in complete chaos.

Buildings were getting set on fire; stores
were getting ambushed and jacked. The police
were going to war with the community as they
tried to stop a plethora of protests and fights.

This town was in disorder because of an unfortunate situation that happened about a week ago.

News traveled fast about the Michael Jackson story. How he was brutally beaten.

SUPREMACISTS.

It was all in the newspaper, on the radio; it even
made it to the news channel. Michael was a well-known activist. His father was a prominent radical.
It was a lot of people in their corner, So when the
news got out about Michael, it didn't take long for
hell to be raised. Almost every black person in
Gary wreaked havoc.

Michael was in a slight coma. He was expected
to wake up any given day now. Fortunately, the
gun didn't have any bullets inside.

That must've been a god. It just had to be.

Abhaya, Ricky, and Angel were driving down to the hospital to visit Michael. For a week straight, they all had been carpooling and checking in on him. He was in a slight coma from all the blows to his face. It was one too many, which caused him to have a seizure on his way to the hospital. That was what transpired the coma. Abhaya sighed to herself as she looked out of the windowpane. She was depressed. She had been having reoccurring dreams of that fateful night.

The memories of carefully holding Michael's head
and staring into his face that almost unrecognizable.

The memories of watching the truck pull off and leaving Michael just to die as she watched.

The memories of Abhaya watching Michael slowly
lose his breath. She remembered the feelings of placing her lips against his, trying to breathe life
back into him. She remembered it all. She just wanted
to forget, but that experience was unforgettable.

It would forever be stored in her memory.

After a twenty-minute drive, Ricky pulled up to
the hospital and parked the car. They all got out
and walked up to the front entrance of the hospital before entering inside. All three of them had a gift
for Michael. Ricky had one of those bears with a red heart that was stitched in between the paws.
