Chapter 4

Valerie's POV

Getting back from school no one around i decide to take a walk to the park, I think about my brother on my way and I chose to send a message to him i mean it's not his fault for dad lying to him but he believed him so that's also his fault so I changed your mind about texting him. Sitting at the park i'm scrolling through my phone and a family picture we took last Christmas which made me miss how close we used to be i started scrolling through the rest of the pictures. Suddenly I see Lucas on the floor

" Um... I'm really sorry here give me your hand let me help you " I tell him as I stretch out my hand to help him up

" You really have a have problem" I let him fall back on the floor but more painful this time

"why did you do that?" he ask rubbing his back

"If you talk to others that way don't try that with me. If you need some help you behave more like a human not an animal" I say and walk out on him purposely kicking him slightly on his legs

'did she just do that ' i hear him say as he helps himself up.

As I walk home I see a cafe making me realise that I'm hungry I walk into the cafe to get a drink

"welcome to charminggemma's cafe what would you like?" A waiter ask me handing me the menu i was planning on taking only coffee but the menu changed my mind

"I'll go for a strawberry milkshake" I tell her handing the menu back to her.

The milkshake wasn't so bad after all and moreover it helped me forget what happened in the Park .

"Mum I'm home" I shout going to the parlor to hug her and also give her a kiss on her cheeks but I met someone I didn't expect and even didn't want to see

"What the hell are you doing here?" I ask with hatred in my voice

"Hey my angel"

"So you still have the guts to call me angel"

"Valerie show some respect he's still your dad"

"I'm sorry mum but I have no dad and you still defend him after all he has done to you........ when I heard love was blind I never knew it could be this stupid"

"I'm sorry val it was..."

"Don't dare calling me val I allow the people I care for and love to call me that not people I least care about not to talk of love"

"By the way thanks for the visit but I'm sorry I can't accept you back" I tell him as I head for the stairs.

"Valerie wait" I hear a familiar voice the voice I missed badly the voice of my big brother Blake

"what blake ?"

"Try to give dad a chance I know he lied to me but he has come back to his senses and now his has come to make things right just give him a chance " his statement made me remember what happened. .......

"Dad mum is bleeding badly" I tell my dad

"so what should I do" he says as he kisses his new girlfriend

"but she's your wife even though you don't love her anymore please just do it for my sake"

"Valerie come on you are not a baby if you need help you know where to get it"

"I can't believe this i hate you dad for what you are doing to mum i wish you rot in hell" I tell his as I try to cover the glass cut at her waist.

I can't believe I'm seeing my mum in this condition just because she tried to fight for her right

"Mum try don't give up I'm here" I called an ambulance mum survived.

We decided we go with her blake didn't because my dad told him that she tried running away with her lover and he tried to stop her but she was about to hit him so he defended himself. I left with mum and decided to cut off any connections I had with him...

Now his back wanting to have us back in just can't cause anytime i see him i remember the past and through that I feel disgusted by him I'm sorry mum but I can't accept dad back .

I decided to watch a movie to keep my mind off things I'll just watch After I really love the movie this is like my nth time watching it and surprisingly I don't get tired of it after the movie i drifted off to bed .
