You can't chase the ace

"Kinompirma ng Philippine Pageant Association na ang final list ng Candidates para sa gaganaping pegeant na Miss Philippines" 

Habang abala si Chase sa pag-pipirma ng mga dokumentong natambak sa kanyang lamesa ng mga araw na nasa Ilocos sila ay pansin niyang nakatutok lamang sa TV si Kim.

"Hana is not on the final set" Narinig naman ni Chase na sabi ni Kim.
Hindi ito pinansin ni Chase at tuluyan na lamang niyang tinapos ang mga papeles sa kanyang table. When he was done he arranged all of it. Namataan naman niyang si Kim na abala pa rin sa kanyang cellphone.

"Ano ang tinututukan mo diyan at kanina ka pa parang hindi mapakali" Napatanong naman si Chase.

"Hindi maganda ang feedback ng mga tao sa San Vidad dahil hindi kasama si Hana sa final set ng candidates for the Pageant. " 

"You used to be her fan. For sure ikaw din" Nakapamulsang saad naman ni Chase at lumapit sa couch kung saan nakaupo si Kim. Agad namang tinago ni Kim ang kanyang cellphone nang akmang sisilipin sana ito ni Chase.

"Not anymore.."Tumikhim naman ito.

"She is a good opponent. Palagay ko ay kaya niyang lagpasan ang kahit na anong hadlang para lang makuha niya ang gusto niya. That's the best thing about her." Hindi naman maitago ang pagka-mangha ni Chase sa kanya, 

"But this time, Hana just bumped into the wrong person. I guess, that's a part of the journey of becoming what you want to be" He shrugged.

"Too bad I am smarter" He gasped as he took steps closer to his huge window, where he could see Rosa King from here and the entire Arizalde. 

Chase was the one who made it impossible for Hana to be on the final set. This was his first rebut when she tried to poison his twins, but it came out that Lyan was the one poisoned. He remained silent after all this time just to proceed on a plan that is more effective to play her game. Chase is very well aware of her plans. But this was his tactic, keeping your enemies closer.

"If you hadn't figured out Hana's plan, then would you still be in love with her?" Hindi naman inaasahan ni Chase ang tanong ni Kim.

"I loved Hana at first. When she left me I got over it. If someone leaves me then Its game over. Erika also knows that. But when she came back, I was willing to trust her again" He paused when he remembered the thing about Hana and Kalix..

"Kahit alam kong step-brother niya si Kalix. I thought she was different, knowing her story. But she's just a Guanzon who is a dirty player."

"I lived my whole life being fooled by my own parents. Hana is just one of my easy enemies. She and Kalix should know that.."

Kim chose not to talk because he felt that anger arousing from Chase's voice. He might be this calm but he is the only person who knows the true rage of Chase.

"Pero, Sir. Aware po ba kayo na uuwi po dito si Don Edward?" Napakuyom ang palad ni Chase sa sinabi ni Kalix.

The very reason why he chose to stay here for good is to live a life away from the person he hated the most—his father.

Dahil sa nalalapit na launching ng RosaKing marahil ito ang nakitang dahilan ng ama upang bumisita sa Pilipinas, kung hindi rin siya nagkakamali nalaman na din niya na may balak itong magpakasa. Although it was just a show to play along to Hana's plan.
Things might become more difficult when his father will be on the picture.
