"Nice to meet you, sir." I addressed formally. You can't go wrong with that, plus I didn't know his name.

"Sir?" he questioned, "That's a smart choice of words." he nodded before releasing my hand from his grip. "I'm Jonathan," he announced his name.

He continued before I could respond. "I'm here to take Aubrey back home. Come on let's go," he said not exactly leaving any room for discussion or argument. But who am I again?

"Sir if I may..." I began, not missing Aubrey's snicker at my formalities. "But since she's already spent most of the day here, could she please stay tonight as well. I'll have her back first thing in the morning, sir." I suggested.

"Plus, you and mom came back earlier than expected and I don't wanna leave." Aubrey cut in. "Please, dad! Please?" she pleaded. I watched as the sternness on his face faded for a split second before coming right back.

"Aubrey, come on grab your things," he repeated. She just grabbed onto my arm and refused to move while I stood there not knowing what the fuck to do.

"He'll drop me back to the house the first thing in the morning, dad please?" she requested again.

"Sweetheart, the morning for you is a little closer to noon. Come on let's go." he gave her a pointed look.

"Dad, don't make me slam this door in your face." she groaned. My eyes widened as I turned to her.

"Aubrey!" I looked at her in shock. "Sir, just tonight, please?" I tried one more time. He looked between us before sighing in defeat.

"Just tonight. Take care of her." he gave me a stern look as I nodded for his reassurance. Aubrey squealed beside me before turning me to face her and planting a kiss on my lips. She is trying to have me killed. I think she realized what she was doing so she swiftly pulled away before turning to her dad.

"Sorry." I looked down at the floor with her arm still linked with mine as I scratched the back of my neck in embarrassment with a blush creeping up on my cheeks.

"Back by noon," he demanded before saying bye and leaving. I closed the door before leaning on it with a sigh.

"You're crazy," I told Aubrey.

"Only for you." she laughed before going back down and sitting in the circle. I shook my head and chuckled while making my way there and sitting down. We finished Uno, Aubrey won and then we watched a movie or two before ordering pizza for dinner and then just lounging around and talking.

"Seriously though, your argument today was absolute bullshit," Aubrey spoke while she lied down with me on the couch as we shared a blanket while Ace and Vi did the same on the other couch.

Look at us guys spooning our girlfriends. Who would've thought? Not I.

"It was. Who argues like that? You two were gonna kill each other." I scoffed. Vi narrowed her eyes down at me.

"You're tainting my best friend, Parker. She's swearing now." Vi pointed out.

"Facts." Aubrey nodded as I looked down at her with a smile. She sighed before snuggling deeper into the blanket.

"Well, she's gonna doze off any minute so we'll head upstairs. Feel free to take the other guest room whenever you two want." I spoke before getting out of the blanket to see Aubrey practically asleep.

"Where are you going?" she whined grabbing onto my hand.

"I'm taking you upstairs." I laughed before picking her up bridal style with the blanket and heading upstairs with her. I took her to my room and lay her down on the bed before getting in myself next to her after taking my shirt off.

"You just had to take it off, huh?" she asked while sprawling herself across the bed intentionally. Try again, love. I grabbed her and picked her up before moving her over and lying down and then having her lie down on top of me.

"I had to." I chuckled as she rested her cheek on my chest and taking in a deep breath. She slid herself off of me before lying down beside me, with my arm draped around her waist. We were lying in silence and darkness until she started giggling out of nowhere.

She giggled like this when she was drunk but we weren't drinking tonight.

No alcohol in this household. Her words, not mine.

"You know what's so funny to me?" she asked. She just laughed harder at that.

Glad this is so amusing.

"My dad's going to grill the fuck out of you tomorrow."

That's good to know.

God be with me.
