The next few days were quite. I didn't really think about Layla and all the shut she had said. I chose to move on from it.

That's what I was here to do. Move on from the past and start new. If only it were that easy for me.

I was cleaning up the diner when I heard a knock at the door. I looked to see my father standing in the dark the only light showing him was the closed sign above the door.

I ran and opened it letting him in.

"Dad what are you doing here? How did you find me?"

"Let's be honest. Did you think Chris wouldn't slip up?" I chuckled pulling him to me.

"What are you doing here? Isn't Layla wedding in the morning?"

"It is but I have something to talk to you about before it. Do you mind if I have some coffee? It was a long ride."

"Yeah I'll get you some." I ran and went back to get him a cup when I came back I sat with him at a table.

"Luca has been a reck for the past year. He's doing everything Layla wants. He's asked so many times ones where you might be. Now I know there's something you didn't tell me about because I know you would just run off."

I looked down at my hands and sighed. "Dad it's kind hard to tell you."

"Try me."

I looked to him and felt everything in me wanting to brake.

"When I went to London I found a boy there and we hit it off. I had to leave to come back home and found out that boy had to marry my sister. We tied to make things work but they never did..."

"I'm going to take a guess and say that Luca is this boy." I nodded my head and heard my father chuckle.

"I knew something was going on between you two. I could tell it by the way you two looked at each other."

"You knew and you still let Layla with him."

"Well honestly I thought Luca would have dropped her as soon as he saw the way she clung on to any boy she could. She still does that." I laughed

"Yeah well it doesn't matter anymore. He's marrying Layla." I grabbed his cup after he finished it and walked to the counter.

"But it does Dove. The man is crazy about you. And from what I can tell your crazy about him."

I turned to him as tears started falling from my eyes.

"All I am saying is don't be afraid to go for it. Better late then never" He kissed my head and handed me something before he pulled back.

"I'll be happy with whatever decision you make" he smiled walking out. I looked down at my hand and saw it was an invitation to the wedding.

Later that night I sat up in bed trying to get it out of my head. I didn't need to bring that on to Luca. He didn't need all of this.

At 4 in the morning I sat up still not getting any sleep and looked to the invitation to the side of me.

"Fuck it." I jumped up and grabbed my bags. I got what I could packed up and got in the car. I grabbed my phone dialing the one person that I knew would answer.

"Hello?"

"You never really could keep a secret could you."

"Please tell me your coming home bitch?" I smiled.

"I am. Only because of what my father said."

"Fuck yes! I've missed you."

"You'll never believe what Layla said. She knew about everything Chris. She knew about me and Luca and she knew about the baby that I was going to have."

"I always knew she was a bitch. While I could just rip those fake little extensionS out of that wig of hers." I laughed feeling like old times again.

"Listen. I need a dress." Can you have one for me?"

"Already on it."

"Great I'll see you in a few hours."
