ZOE’S POV:

Stepping out of the shower I slowly stopped as my reflection from the mirror caught my glance. The way that my eyes caught the large lights of the bathroom made it look like I was truly happy. From always being under a watchful eyes of the public to being able to be a real person made me feel alive. The fact that I was going on a date with a boy that I actually liked made me feel that there was actually hope for my future, it made me feel like I had a choice, I didn’t always have to be a daughter of parliament, I could be Zoe Sugg. The real Zoe Sugg that I wanted to be, not who they wanted me to be.
“Zoe?” called Sarah as a knock echoed through the air.
“Just a second” I sighed as I tighten the towel around my chest.
“Zoe, your not mad at me?” she asked as I pulled open the door.
“Of course not” I lied as I bypassed her and went straight to my closet.
“I didn’t mean to come off shallow, you know at lunch today.”
“I know” I mumbled as I pulled down a couple of dresses.
“I mean, that boy was cute, he just wasn’t my type…you know what I mean?”
“Of course, Sarah” I smiled as I laid the four possible dresses out on my bed.
“Oh, Zoe” she groaned as she followed me, “you must think I am the most horrible person on the planet!”

“I don’t think that, Sarah. I just think that you should have gave that boy a chance. I mean he really made eyes at you.”

Feeling silence enter the room, I turned to see Sarah glaring at me.
“But if he wasn’t your type…” I giggled.
“He wasn’t my type, Zoe. I mean why lead a boy on if you don’t like him?” she grinned.
“Right” I nodded as I looked back down at the dresses.
“Where are you going tonight, Zo?” Sarah asked as she tried to change the subject.
“Just out” I sighed as I tried to ignore the cattiness in her voice.
“With who? These are some intense dresses…”
“By myself” I lied, “to look at the town at night, we don’t have many nights left do this, Sarah.”
“Is Alfie going to be there?” she blurted out as I felt my stomach drop.
“Wh..why would you think that?” I asked as I turned to face her.
“Its just a question! The two of you were quiet close last night…”

Feeling my face turn three shades of red I instantly sprinted over to the cracked open door, slamming it hoping no one else was able to hear what she had just said.
“Sarah” I groaned, “what did you see?”
“Well, Zoe” she smirked, “I was going to gossip with you about this at lunch today, before you literally ran out with your panties in a twist…”
“What did you see Sarah?” I asked in nearly a yell.

“Calm down, babe” she giggled, “I know exactly what happened and whats going on.”
“Sarah, you can’t tell anyone! What do you want from me to keep this a secret between you and I?”
“What makes you think I want something?” she laughed, “Its cute that you and Alfie are having this little…holiday fling.”
       “Sarah!” I screamed, “please…”
“Fine, fine” she sighed, “you know that I liked Alfie first, and you do have a fiancé back home…”

ALFIE’S POV:

Looking down at my watch I couldn’t help but be a little antsy and excited for this date. After meeting Zoe the first time on the beach she was on my mind all day every day. The way her eyes smiled when she got excited made my heart always skip a beat. She was nice yet very reserved which was exactly how I use to be. After meeting Marcus I could feel myself start to become a bit more out there and less shy, if is wasn’t for him I wouldn’t know who I would be or where.
Seeing a taxi stop nearly a foot away I couldn’t help but hold my breath and hope that it was Zoe. Watching the driver slide out I tried my best to sneak a peek, feeling my stomach drop I couldn’t believe my eyes as the tall girl gave the driver a nod before shutting the door behind her.
“Hey” grinned the tall tan girl as she stopped in front of me.
“Hi” I sighed as I looked her over, “how are you Sarah?”
“Just fine, Alfie.” she grinned, “thanks for asking.”
Giving her a nod I couldn’t help but feel my heart drop as the taxi soon drove by without a trace of Zoe any where.
“So, are we going to get dinner or just stand out here?” giggled Sarah as she broke the silence.
“I would love to get dinner with you Sarah, but I am waiting for someone.”
“Zoe?” she asked with a small laugh.
“Yeah…?” I looked at her confused, “how did you…”
“Zoe couldn’t make it tonight” she sighed, “so she asked me to take her spot, she didn’t want you to be waiting out here for hours, so she sent me…I hope that’s okay.”
