*Tuesday*

"My mom said that she'd be able to meet with you on Wednesday. My dad won't be able to come."
"Alright. What time?"
"Around three."
"Okay. Three it is, then."

*Wednesday*

Link sat down at his seat and smiled. He was humming the second song that he played yesterday.

Zelda walked in and tossed a plastic bag onto his desk. He looked at it and saw that in contained cereal.
"Thanks, Zel."
"No problem."

Sean looked at her.
"Wow. That's the most casual thing I've ever heard you say."
She smiled.
"Even in that game chat?"
"You typed in full words. And full sentences. No shortcuts. That's not casual."
"I wasn't being lazy."

Link listened to the two bicker while he ate the cereal.

"Hey Link, what do you think?"
"Hm?" He looked up at Zelda.
"What do you think? Was I being too formal just because I used proper punctuation?"
He shook his head, his mouth too full to talk. He finished chewing and answered,
"'Come the heck on!' Isn't exactly formal."

Zelda turned to Sean and smirked.
"See? Even he's on my side."
Sean only rolled his eyes and smiling.
"Hey, whatcha humming?"
"A song."
"What song?"
"Smithereens."
"Huh. Never heard of it."
"Of course you haven't. You don't listen to quality music like that."
"Just because you don't like the same music as me doesn't mean it's not good."
"Hey, I never said that."
"It was close enough. Anyway, the music you listen to has rap in it."
"Yeah, but it's not just rap. Anyway, you can't play rap on a guitar."

Link crossed his arms and looked at Sean. Behind him, Zelda asked,
"You play guitar?"
"Yup."
"I've never heard you play before."
Sean smiled.
"You've obviously never seen his Instagram."
"Why would I? I don't even know his username."
"I'll text it to you."
"Okay."

Sean smirked at Zelda.
"Speaking of which, what's your username?"
She crossed her arms.
"I'm not telling you. And it's not just my name, if that's what you're thinking."

Sean raised his arms defensively.
"Hey! That's not true."
Link pushed him.
"We all know that you were thinking that."
Sean rolled his eyes and grabbed a piece of paper from his bag. He crumpled it up and tossed it at Link, hitting his forehead.
"Ha! Too slow!"
"Hey!"

Link picked up the paper ball and threw it back at Sean, harder than the first time. It landed a bullseye right on his nose.
"Who's the slow one now?"
"Aah! What was that for?"
"You know exactly what that was for."
Link laughed as Sean made an exaggerated frown.

"Hey Zel, whatcha lookin at?"
Midna leaned over the table to look at Zelda's phone, but she held it away.
"None of your business."

"Is that Link's insta?"
"Yes, actually. He told me he plays guitar, and he puts it on here."
"Wow. A music boy."
Midna smiled slyly, and Zelda rolled her eyes. She looked back down at her phone.

"Mipha, why did you like every single one of his posts?"
Mipha looked away and said,
"I want to show him support..."
Zelda laughed a little and Midna rolled her eyes. Urbosa chuckled and looked over at Zelda's phone.
She reached over and turned the volume up as a song played.

"She asked me, "Son, when I grow old
Will you buy me a house of gold?
And when your father turns to stone
Will you take care of me?"

I will make you queen of everything you see
I'll put you on the map
I'll cure you of disease."

"Ooh, he sings, too."
Zelda playfully pushed Urbosa, smiling.
"That's a nice song. I like it."

She scrolled down some more and found another song. He didn't seem to post much.

"Won't you stay alive,
I'll take you on a ride,
I'll make you believe
You are lovely."

She smiled. He was really good at playing the guitar, and singing. Maybe he could play a song for her some time.

Link nervously sat down in front of the teacher's desk. His mom sat down next to him.

The teacher and his mom started talking, and he looked around the room.

"Do you agree, Link?"
He quickly looked back at the teacher.
"Can you repeat that, please?"
"You could do much better in this class if you paid attention more."
He nodded. "Yes, ma'am."

They continued talking, and he looked down at his hands. Goddesses, this was nerve-racking.

He prayed to Hylia that his father wouldn't find out. If he did, well... he didn't want to think about that.

His mom stood up.
"C'mon, Link. Let's go."
He stood up and followed her out the door, waving at the teacher as he left.

As soon as Link opened the door, he was faced with his father.
"LIIIIINK!! YOU ARE IN HUGE TROUBLE, MISTER. AND YOUR MOTHER, TOO."

Zelda put her homework in her bag. Finally, she was done.

Hopefully Link was alright. He seemed awfully nervous all day.
Hopefully his dad wasn't mad at him.

That wouldn't be good.
