Chapter 16: Guardian

Tanaka opened his eyes and saw that it's already night time

He didn't notice the time but everything is fine, he got his desired mana so everything is alright

Tanaka stood up and picked up the chick that's sleeping beside him

Since the chick stuck to him, he got attached to it so he doesn't really want to find its relatives since the chick isn't flying away himself then it doesn't matter anymore

Maybe it will meet its family one day but before it happens, he will take care of it

But he was curious about something and just sort of blurted it out

"Is it a boy or a girl?" Looking at the chick curiously

And the chick response by flapping its wings

So Tanaka tried and asked the chick

"A girl?" And the chick stayed still

"A boy?" And the chick flapped its small wings frantically

It seems that it is a boy, that means...it can't have an offspring

"Oh, alright" The lazy protagonist just nodded and pats the chick

"I'll be taking care of you until your family find you" Tanaka said and the chick chirps in agreement

(Though, I doubt the chick will leave him when it gets attached to Tanaka)

The innocent pair walked home slowly, it was dark but Tanaka can see the way clearly, must be the cause of the mana inside him

As they walk, the man who was hiding in the tree along with his familiar is watching Tanaka's every move

Tanaka clearly is brave but it was definitely because the man was watching out for the dangers that may fall upon him, it's like he has his own guardian

(Man: I DON'T WANT TO BE A GUARDIAN, I WANNA BE HIS PRINCE CHARMING)

(So he says ^^, anyway outta my way dood)

'Whoosh'

A whisking sound can be heard as wind pass Tanaka, it seems another predator has appeared to prey on Tanaka

The said guardian wanted to protect Tanaka but he would prefer to keep hidden

And he thought that Tanaka can handle this situation, he'll interfere if it gets serious

But Tanaka disappeared instantly which made the man horrified

"How bothersome" he commented

But he sensed no bloodlust so he just decided that he'll take it slow, He is sure that the person who took him will bring him back at the rise of the sun

At the other side,

Tanaka groaned as he opened his eyes, it was dark but there were a bunch of candles lit around him or to be accurate around 'them'

When he woke up he noticed that it was a bit cold, the blanket was being pulled so he also pulled back

In return, he heard a whine behind him, he was facing the other side so he turned to look and saw a person's back

The person seems to be the one who took him and it is our 'handsome' fairy

Well honestly, in the look of others he is a Greek but in the eyes of the demon King he is a Goddess
