Questions, questions, questions

Questions, questions, questions. I was berated with them, the same ones over and over. Unlike Leia, a lot of people couldn't take my silence as an answer. They wanted to know where Luke was and I was the one stopping them from knowing. So laced in curiosity was also hostility. And in a place full of diversity, I truly felt like the odd one out.

The questions grilled me hard to the point where I felt like a raw fish being cooked alive. It was taxing trying to deflect each one and I was no good liar. Leia was present the whole time, although her mind was elsewhere we would make eye contact time and again. They even had people trying to find my background, but they all came inconclusive. Under regular circumstances, I probably would of broke sooner but Luke's " don't tell anyone about this planet" mental training really kicked in. Plus I don't respond to aggression, and they were full of it, even if they didn't want to show it in front of the General.

Eventually when they deemed me not a threat, I was ushered to be prepped for transitioning into the Resistance. Meaning, I looked like a "hot mess" as some of the others were pointing out. I was still escorted around, yet no restraints around my wrists. They had given me back my now searched bag, lightsaber, and a new set of clothes. I really didn't want to change out of my robes Luke had given me, but it was for the best as I was getting many unwelcomed stares.

They fitted me with the basic civilian garbs that most wore around the base. Tan and grey being the most prominent colors with a belt to match. Although, it didn't have anywhere to place Luke's saber so I switched it with my jedi utility belt. Afterwards I was escorted to someone who would show me around as the guards had better things to do than watch over me. One of them mentioned him as being Rodian, which I've never seen before. But then again I've never really seen anyone else before.

"There is Kelko Kitwis, your guide for the day. And don't wander, we don't want to keep an eye on you."

One of the guards directed me to one of the hangers where a green Rodian worked, tinkering with a x-wing. They walked away almost immediately as I set my eyes on him. So eager to be rid of me. Letting out a big sigh, I slowly inched my way towards Kelko. He seemed very focused on his work, rummaging through parts and tools.

"Hi, I'm Jude."

It almost looked like he jumped out of his skin at my voice. He shuttered back from me with a look of offence. As he spewed incoherent words most likely his native language.

"Ittu! Don't, no games!"

His voice a bit panicked but soon leveled out. As he chose to sit on a storage box.

"I'm sorry, I don't know how to... talk, sorry."

He holds a finger towards me to wait as he reaches down below for a device. He straps the device around his front as he sets it up, pushing nobs and buttons.

"Okay better. You don't know Rodese from what I can tell so better safe than sorry."

The device translates the words coming from his mouth almost immediately as he says it. What a neat machine.
