Carter pulled up in front of Henry's garage. Henry was working on a 1950's car. Carter didn't want to know what the mad mechanic was doing to a classic car. Henry stopped working when he saw Carter and cleaned off his greased hands.

"Hey, Jack." Carter shook hands with Henry. "What can I do for you today?"

Carter shuffled his feet. Henry knew that something happened.

"Do you know what Dr. Kay was working on?" Carter asked.

"No not really Jack. He kept mostly to himself. Maybe his wife knows." Henry said not knowing about what happened not but an hour ago.

"Both of them are dead Henry," Carter said softly. "There is an unconscious boy in GD that we have no idea who he is."

Henry took off his hat and sat on the front bumper to think.

"He kept to himself, Jack. I really don't know much besides what he always rambled about." Henry said.

"Yes, this world is corrupt and needs to be fixed. This is different. I think he actually was able to find an alternate dimension and brought some of that world here." Carter said.

"I mean that is possible and explains how the boy got here. Was he hurt?"

"No just a few scraps but he hasn't woken up yet," Carter said.

"I will see if there is anything that I can do," Henry said.

"There is. There is a machine in his basement. Joe still might be there if you could go look and see maybe if you can find anything."

"Sure, thing Jack. Kept me updated on the boy. He shouldn't have to go through this."

"Thank you, Henry. See you later."

With that Carter left in his car and went to his next lead. He was heading to Dr. Kay's partner on the project at GD. Maybe he could stop by the infirmary and check on the kid. Carter's mind still ran nonstop with how in the world Dr. Kay did it and brought a kid into it.

Carter tried to drive a clear mind as he made his way to GD. It wasn't easy, he almost had to pull off a few times to just take a breather. Before he knew it he was in the parking lot of GD and getting out of his car safe.

Carter ran inside and headed to Dr. Kay's lab which he knew would have his lab partner maybe. He hoped it did. Carter walked into the room and there stood Dr. Evalyn Weir.

"Morning Dr. Weir," Carter said. She looked to Carter as she was holding a few test tubes in her hands. She looked back at what she was doing.

"Morning Sheriff." She sat the tube down before anything could happen. "What do I own the pleasure of you visiting me in Kay's lab?"

"He did it." That was all that Carter had to say. Evalyn stopped, she couldn't believe it.

"How?"

"I don't know. All I know is that I have an unconscious kid in the infirmary with no id. Also, the light show that happened earlier and Kay is dead." Carter said. Evalyn sat down in a chair that was thankfully close.

"Kay's dead?" She asked.

"Yeah, maybe I should have started off with that," Carter said.

"Yeah think." Evalyn took a breath and rubbed her forehead. "His wife?"

"Dead."

"I can't believe this. You said an unknown kid was there still alive?"

"Yep, we don't know who he is and isn't awake," Carter said.

"I might know. Can I go see the kid?" Evalyn asked.

"Yeah, any way you can help would be wonderful." They were on their way to the infirmary to go see the kid. Carter was nervous. He always has a soft spot for kids.

In no time they made it to the infirmary and Carter lead Evalyn to the kid who still wasn't awake. He had an IV and looked a bit pale.

"Here he is Dr. Weir. He has been like this for a bit." Carter said. Allison walked over to the two as Evalyn ran to the side of the bed. She looked him over.

"Hey Carter," Allison said.

"Hey, how is he?" Carter asked.

"Malnourished, low blood pressure."

"Not from the travel though," Evalyn said.

"How do you know that?" Carter asked.

"Kay told me about this kid. It's not a good story. I thought he was kidding when he told me about him." Evalyn said.

"How did Kay know him?" Allison asked.

"He met his double in another dimension, he wasn't very nice," Weir said.

"What do you mean?" Carter asked.

"He told me that his double was working for an evil group. That's all he told me about him." Weir said.

"What do you know about the kid?" Allison asked.

"Lots, his double was obsessed with him," Weir said looking at the boy sad. "His name is Alex Rider. He worked for MI6 when he was 14. Sometime during that time, the two meets and they have been after one another for a long time. There was much worse that had happened. He had been through a lot in a small amount of time."

Carter took a step back and began thinking in overtime. Sometimes he hates this town and the genius that works there. Carter looked to the kid.

"That's why we can't find him. He never existed here." Carter said.

"Most likely something happened. In most time the dimensions are different in many ways or very few." Kay said.

"Oh, okay. Fun." Carter said. "I guess we wait for him to wake up."

"Yes, I agree even if he is not from here, he is a minor," Allison said.

"Yes, a smart powerful minor may I add," Weir said.

"Yes. Thank you, Dr. Weir." Carter said as his phone beeped. It was a message from Henry. "I have to go. I will be back soon."

Allison nodded and Carter was off to go to Dr. Kay's house once again. He hoped to maybe get some more answers there from Henry. He only wanted happy news thought.

In GD Zoey walked into the infirmary and looked to the boy that was in there. She only saw a cute boy that had somehow made his way here. She now wanted to know who the mystery boy was without Allison knowing.
