"What have you done?"

"Making the world our world."

"No!"

Flash of light shinned through the house. People could see it for miles. One man in a uniform stopped and dropped his coffee. He grabbed his phone and dialed #1.

"What the hell was that?" He asked.

"I don't know Carter, be more specific." A woman said on the other line.

"A big flash of light, it came from GD just seconds ago," Carter said.

"There were some readings but," She stopped.

"What?"

"He did it." Carter ended the call.

Carter got into his car and drove to GD and took a detour to a house in the woods. There stood in the middle of 100-year-old trees was a two-story cabin with windows missing. Carter ran into the cabin and headed straight for the elevator to the basement. Carter leads with his gun in front of him when the elevator door opened in the basement. He looked around. He didn't see anyone down there yet. It was dark, so Carter took out his flashlight and sat it on top of his gun.

The light helped but there was a lot of dust running around the room. There in front of him was a huge machine that began to spark. The first thought in Carter's mind is what in the world is that, but he then heard a groan. Carter pointed his light at where he thought that he heard the groan.

The light landed on a young man that was unconscious, no more than 15 or 16 and next to him was Dr. Kay and his wife. Carter checked their pulse, but both were dead.

Then the elevator opened and came out Allison. She ran over to the young man. There was some blood running down the side of his head. There were also a few bruises.

"We need to get him to GD right now for some tests," Allison said.

"Dr. Kay and his wife are dead," Carter said. Allison's face wrinkled.

"Who is the kid then?" Allison asked.

"I don't know. I have never seen his face before." Carter said.

"Let's get him out of here," Allison said.

"You get the elevator and I will pick him up," Carter said. Allison nodded and moved to the elevator and held it opened for Carter. "I will call Joe to look at the scene once we get him to GD."

"I will meet you there and call ahead for the infirmary to be ready," Allison said. She opened the Jeep's door and Carter set the kid in the chair. Carter ran to the driver's side and drove like mad with Allison in front of him. GD gates opened as they saw the cars coming down the road. Carter was hoping that the kid will be fine.

Allison was right beside Carter as they ran into GD with the kid in his arms. People moved out of the way and some followed wondering what happened and wanted to help.

Carter and Allison made it to the infirmary which the staff took the kid from his arms and began working on him. They did tests and Carter called Joe.

"Go to Dr. Kay's house. I need you to scan the scene. I'm at GD right now." Carter rambled out.

"Calm down Carter. What happened?"

"He did it. He figured it out." Carter said. Everyone knew what he was talking about.

"Oh great. Why do we live in a town that anything is possible?" Joe ended the call. Allison came out to talk to Carter.

"He's going to be fine. We are continuing with some tests just in case." Allison said.

"Did you find out who the kid is?" Carter asked.

"He doesn't exist," Allison said. Carter took a deep breath and did a double back.

"Are you saying that he is not from this world?"

"Possibly. I ran his figure prints, and nothing came up. It still is running them so maybe not." Allison said trying to calm Carter down.

"Okay, that is a good thing. That means that it really didn't really work." Carter said. "Call me when he wakes up."

With that Carter left the infirmary and continued for his mystery that needs to be solved or fixed. The next best person to ask about the machine that Dr. Kay had in his basement and knew what he was doing. Carter was heading to Henry's garage.
