Kidnapped

I was in absolute agony. My skin was pale and covered in a thin sheen of sweat. Tears streamed down my cheeks through the blindfold that rested heavy on my eyes. A mixture of blood and spit was oozing through the gag in my mouth.

Time seemed to have lost all meaning. It felt like days, weeks have passed. I had tried to push the pain at the back of my mind, but now, it seemed impossible. The pain was too much. It became a fiery agony.

I didn't think I could last much longer, it almost seemed like a mercy to die. Taking in a deep breath, I resigned myself to my fate. I just wanted it to end.

Then, I felt the sharp ache of a foot colliding to my already bruised side and breathing suddenly seemed like an insurmountable task.

A kick in my stomach, followed by the smack of a hand on my cheek and -

And nothing.

Only darkness.

It was finally over.
