15. Fly over there

Start from the beginning

Tord's heart sped up a little, his cheeks flushing. He felt light just by hearing his bestie laugh. 'Is this how friendship feels?' Tord thought to himself, gripping his chest. "Tom?" Tom's laughter slowly died down, but Tord could almost feel the smile in his voice. "Yeah, what's up?"

"Have you ever been in a relationship with someone?" Tom was taken aback with this question. "Umm, no, not really. I'm a lonely potato. Why'd you ask?"  "Nothing important, just wondering." Tom shrugged it off. "I wonder what it's like, though."

"Don't ask me, I have problems getting out of my house! My parents said something about butterflies. That it's like having butterflies in your stomach. That must be...uncomfortable." Tord cringed at the thought. "Yeah, I know right!" Tom gasped dramatically.

"Oh my jehovaaah, I can feel myself floating! The butterflies, I am soooo in looove!" Tord laughed, forgetting about being sad. He shut his eyes, tears prickling at the corners of his eyes. "Toooom! Stooop!" They both laughed, as they both blush just by hearing the other one laugh. How cute.

When they calmed down, Tord took a breath, grinning. Silence hung in the air, but neither of the two bothered to say anything. They just enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere. Until Tom spoke. "Hey Tord?" "Yeah?" "...I'd really love to meet you in person."

Tord froze. "Really?" "Yeah, it'd be cool to hang out with you." Tom felt his cheeks heat up as he said that. Tord gripped his chest, shaking slightly. "But how would you get here?" Tom thought about it. Would he have enough money to even get there? He was unemployed, of course not..

"I'll get money, somehow." "Somehow? Seriously? Money doesn't grow on trees. At least not here in Norway, don't know about you." Tord joked, but felt pretty upset that he couldn't see Tom.

"I'll find a job." Tord sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Would you seriously get a job just so you could fly over here to visit me? Am I really that important to you?" Tom frowned. "Of course you are!"

The norwegian boy couldn't help but blush again. He felt his heartbeat grow faster. It felt strange, but comforting at the same time. At this point, he forgot he was ever upset. Tom really made everything better, didn't he? Good job, Tom.

"I wonder if I'll ever get a job. Who'd want me, though?" Tord thought out loud. "Do you have any dreams? I'm talking about your future job, because I'm sure you'll find one." Tord always liked learning languages. And writing. Pat once told him he's like a translator and that he could work like one in the future!

"...I'd love to translate books from English to Norwegian." Tord felt embarrassed for some reason. He always found a way to feel ashamed of himself. Poor boy.. "That's a nice job! You don't have to move around too much and you work from home!" Tord smiled.

"What would you like to do for a living?" "Something art related. A tattoo artist, maybe?" "You like drawing?" Tom chuckled at Tord's suprised tone. "I sure do! I'm not very good, though." Tord grinned uncontrollably. Why did Tom always make him smile? Was it that cute voice of his? Probably.

"I never saw any of your drawings so I can't deny nor agree." "I'll show you some later if you want me too.." "YES!" They laughed together. They felt like they knew each other for years, it certainly did not feel like they just met about two monts ago. They were just destined to be together, am I right?

"But I was serious. I'm gonna search for a job, get the money and fly over there to you." Tord shook his head, smiling softly. "Tooom.." "You can't stop me!" "Don't waste your money on meee!" Tord whined like a little child. Tom thought it was adorable, but decided not to tell him.

"Oh, but I will." Tord could hear the determination in Tom's voice, which made him chuckle more. "Okay, but I'm not forcing you." "Oh come on! I wanna come see you!" "And what then? You gonna leave a few days later." "No, I'm gonna stay there with you." Tom joked. Though, the thought didn't seem so bad to him.

"Okay, should I just tell my parents that we have a name housemate?" Tord tried hiding the chuckling, but failed miserably. And by that, I mean, he burst into laughter once again, Tom soon joining after.

"...Our boy is growing up." Pat said to Paul, smiling. They overheard some of Tord's conversation and of course, were being proud parents. Like it should be. They soon left the house, only leaving a short note behind to let Tord know they were out on a walk.

But it didn't seem like Tord minded it. As long as he was with Tom, he couldn't be happier. And he knows that one day, he'll fly over here. And stay with him. Forever.

If you're in a long distance relationship, I wish you luck! I'm sure one day, you'll meet and be together forever ♥
