Seizure (Damian)

I had to do some research for this because I actually didn't know a lot about seizures before hand other than what it looks like. Since theres so many different types I chose to write it like this.

Damian decided today he would shadow Bruce at work. It was a last minute thing since Gotham Academy canceled due to part of it being destroyed by the fight with batman the night before.

He had no idea what he was going to do today, so when they arrived to the hospital he was confused but followed along.

You sit in the room you have had for three years with your mom excited.

You had very frequent seizures all you life with seemingly no cause that would leave you temporarily paralyzed. Then Bruce Wayne heard about the mystery that you caused in the medical world and helped find a cause. By doing so he also helped find a treatment that cut the number back to only a few a week. In doing this you could finally go to school.

So Bruce wanted to meet you in person.

You curl up in your bed nervously with your hair pulled back in a gentle ponytail and a oversized Robin shirt on your tiny body.

"Miss Y/n Y/l/n?" Bruce asks as he walks in.

With a smile, you respond, "That's me."

"How did your procedure go?" He asks.

"It went great, and the nurse showed me ways to style my hair to hide the incision." You say softly.

"We are so grateful Mr. Wayne. This opportunity is amazing." You mom says.

"Yes. And I would like to further discuss that with you. Perhaps Y/n, you and Damian would prefer to go to the cafeteria and get something to eat?" Bruce says.

"Yea. Sure." You smile politely and stand up.

You end up leading Damian to the food court where the two of you sit silently.

Finally he speaks up, "So you have seizures?"

"Yea, but not like the normal television ones. I just kind if freeze up then go limp." You shrug.

"You conscious for it?" He questions.

"Sometimes." You look at your hands.

"You'll be in classes with me. I'll keep an eye out for you. Ok?" He says surprisingly gently.

"That... would be nice... Thank you." You smile at him.

You two end up talking about books you have read, considering you like the same ones, as well as challenging each other's random and excessive knowledge.

After a week you are walking into Gotham Academy for the first time. Four girls come up to you with smiles and you can instantly tell this is the "Heather squad" of the school.

"Hi, I'm Oddet, this is Rachel, Sierra, and Jen. Are you the new student?" Oddet asks.

"Uhh, yea... And I was actually about to go to the office..." You start.

She interrupts you with a smile, "Oh goodies. We can take you there and tell you who is who."

"Actually..." You smirk a little, "I was supposed to meet up with Damian."

"Damian... Wayne?" Sierra asks.

You just nod and smile.

"You really think we would believe that?" Rachel snaps.

Oddet glares at her subtly. "How do you know him?"

"He visited me while I was trasfering from Homeschooling to here." You smile past them as you see Damian, "Damian! Hey!"

"Tt. There you are Y/n. I've been waiting for you." Damian says walking over to you. He then glances at Oddet coldly, "Hello, Lewis."

She looks shocked, "You two are on first name basis?"

Damian rolls his eyes, "We don't have time for this. Come on Y/n."

When you don't respond he looks at you concerned and puts a hand on your back subtly.

You waver a little then look at him, "Minni episode. I'm good."

"Father will call if it was anything serious. Let's get your schedule and ID." Damian smiles softly and leads you inside, leaving the four girls confused and shocked.
