Kodie's been gone for a long time. "Here's your food. Where's ya friend?" Naija asks. "Taking a call, she'll be back in a bit. Thank you so much Naija." I say grabbing the plates. When she's done, I get my things to go and we leave. The whole ride home I don't say anything. That shit just don't sit right. When we get in the house, I call Tei. I start to sniffle. "You're not about to cry over a bitch Syd." I tell myself scrolling through my playlist. You gave me this feeling that I've never felt before. "You good?" Kodie asks. I look up at her and start to sniffle. "Yeah." "C'mere kiddo." Kodie says grabbing my arm. She gives me a hug and lets me cry. And thats how we fell asleep.
