Moving away from home was one of the best things I've ever done. As much as I love my parents, living on my own is great. I've always liked being independent, it's just better for me. To be completely honest, my college isn't the nicest school but I'll take what I can get. There's the occasional drug deals but it's alright. When I moved I had to leave my friends behind but I met my new friend Margot. She's a wild child as they say it. Margot loves parties and getting blackout drunk but she's a good person at heart and is really nice to be around. I also met my boyfriend Lance. He's really sweet and caring. For the past two years it's just been me, Margot and Lance, the best trio there is. They were the only ones who got me through college.

I could finally afford my own camera! I've always wanted my own camera for photography and now I finally have it. Margot will be happy for me because she knows how long I've wanted my own camera.

* Calls Margot *

* ring ring *

Come on answer..

* ring ring *

Hey it's Margot, sorry I'm not available right now leave a message

Damn.

It's okay though, I'll just surprise her. I started walking to our dorm and tried to hide the camera. When I got there I took a deep breath and swung the door open.

" Margot guess wha- Oh my fucking god!"

" Y/N, let me explain, calm down." Lance got up with the blanket around his waist.

" No, no! What the fuck Lance, what the fuck?!?"

" Y/N wait! Let's talk, just sit down and we can explain!" Margot tries to cover herself up with the sheets.

" Talk? Talk?!? That's not gonna solve anything!"

Lance tried to grab my hand but I shoved him away.

" Don't touch me, don't fucking come any closer." I tried my best not to cry and hold back my tears, but I failed.

" You know what, you two can have each other. I'm done."

I stormed out of the room, not knowing where I was going. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I was walking for about 10 minutes when I found a bench in front of a convenience store and plopped myself down on it. I was sad, tired, out of breath and hungry. I felt around in my pocket to see if I had any money on me. I had 20 dollars, enough for ramen and a water. I sighed and walk over to the entrance of the convenience store and pushed open the glass door. I didn't see anyone else in there besides me and the cashier. I walked to the back and grabbed my things and then went to pay for them. This convenience store was the one that let you make your food in the store. After I put hot water in my ramen I walked over to the counter to the front of the store to eat my feelings. I spazzed off, trying to wrap my head around what happened. Life couldn't get any worse.

I took a deep breath in, " Everything is gonna be fine."

All of a sudden someone bumps into me and my steaming hot ramen spilled all over me.

" HOLY SHIT!"

" Oh my god, I'm so sorry!"

" Ahhh-"

" Are you alright?"

" I'm just fine."

" Here, have some napkins. I'm sorry."

" Thanks." I grab the napkins, without looking at the person.

I cleaned myself up as best as I could and collected my things. The stranger tried to say something but I just walked past him to get a bottle of soju. I'll just drink my sorrows away. After paying, I sat down on the sidewalk in front of the store. I took a gulp of soju as if it were juice in a sippy cup. I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't realize someone sat beside me.

" Hey..." he paused for a moment. " Are you alright?"

" Yeah, just great."

" Did something happen?"

" Got cheated on."

He went silent for a moment.

" I'm so sorry."

" Nothing I can do about it now." I shrugged and took another sip.

" If someone can do something so horrible, easily to someone they're supposed to love, I think you dodged a bullet."

" Yeah...I guess you're right." I began to laugh.

" What's so funny?"

" I'm in a parking lot, covered in ramen, drinking my sorrows and talking about my issues to a stranger."

He smiled and nodded.

" At least this stranger listened."

" Yeah."

" Oh, I'm Namjoon."

" I'm Y/N."

We both looked at each other and smiled. Today was horrible, but the comfort of a stranger made my night just bit better.
