"Dude, party Friday night, my place, your invited and your bro!"
"We'll be there!"
"Hey Justin," I called out running up to him in the hallway,
"Hey,"
"So what was that all about?" I asked after Brice walked away,
"Oh, Brandon's having a party on Friday, me and Cam are going."
"Oh, I wasn't invited."
"Mm." the short blond walked up to his locker and grabbed his snapback,
"Ready to go there innocent one?"
"Shut up, I'm not that innocent."
"Oh, yeah that's right, you turn fourteen and your one big bad son of a bitch,"
"Daughter."
"Oh right, sorry."
"Hey if I were a guy I wouldn't be dating your best friend, unless.... Is Cameron gay?!"
"You're a dumbass. I don't know how you guys are even dating."
"I don't know why I'm even friends with you, and also dated you."
"Don't act like you don't want to again."
"I don't."
"Wow bitch."
"I was kidding!"
"Mmmhmm."
"Fuck you, Justin,"
"I know you would." He winks at me,
"Fucking perv."
"What?! I didn't say anything, you just took it that way."
"Whatever."
By this time, at the end of our argument we were on the bus. I stared out of the window watching the scenery. I have to wonder what it be like to be a tree, call me crazy but, I can't help it. Sue me for my curiosity.
"So what are you doing this weekend?"
"You mean for holloween? Nothing probably, my mom will make me go with her and my stepdad, that will hopefully get divorced because I'm seriously sick of this bull shit, and my little sister trick or treating, freezing my ass off and not getting candy or any payment. While you assholes go party and get high and drunk and shit."
"Well excuse the hell out of me,"
"I'm kidding but still my point is everyone gets to go do something fun and I get to stay home and do nothing. I stay in my room all weekend. Then my mom can't understand how sick I am of her over fucking protective bullshit. I understand why but I'm still going to do it, look at me dipping, smoking cigarettes and weed and drinking, and date tons of guys, like really there just fucking proof."
"Strict parents make-,"
"Sneaky kids. I fucking know."
"Well tell her that."
"I have!" I said kind of loudly, I look around to see if anyone's looking at me, nope, good.
"Then I don't what to tell you."

"Do I really have go?" I whined,
"Yes Jade. You have to. He's your dad too." My mom said irritatedly,
"Stepdad." I corrected her.
"Cut it out, you know as much as I do that he's more of a dad than your real dad will ever be."
She was right. But I wasn't going to say that she was.
"Let's go. Into the car we are already late as it is."
We got into the car and drove down the hill onto some street. I got out of the car and I have to say, for the end of October, it's pretty cold. Especially at night with only a sweatshirt.
"Daddy's on his way,"
"Mommy can we go get candy now?"
"Yes we can, daddy will just have to find us."
We walk up to a red house,
"Jade, walk your sister up to that house."
"Why? She's a big girl, she can handle it."
She glared at me.
"Alright. Alright, I'll go. God." I mumbled god,
"What did you say?"
"I said I'll go."
"Mmhm."
"Morgan, don't forget to say trick or treat and thank you!" I called to her, walking up to her, as she was getting candy.
"Did you say thank you?"
"Yes Jade."
"Okay, just making sure."
After a while, my toes started to go numb from the cold in my combat boots and my nose was running. Also my grandfather joined us, then my stepdad.
"Justin! Marcus!" I ran to them both, almost fell on my face in the road trying to cross the street to give my two best friends hugs.
"Hey." Marcus was a banana and Justin was Spongebob. Figures.
"Where's Cameron?"
"At his house, sitting on his ass."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"So are you going to the party?"
"Yeah, I have to wait for my mom to come home, then I have to get your boyfriend and then we are going to the party. Smoke mad weed and get drunk as fuck."
"I wish I could go."
"Jade lets go!"
"Mkay, be right there mom!" I called back over,
"I have to go, have fun at the party." I said hugged them and ran up to my parents. Not even ten minutes later, I see a three year in the same Spongebob costume as Justin. Unbelievable. I shook my head. We saw my aunt and uncle and their kids. (My stepdad and uncle don't get along. And no they didn't start throwing fists at each other in front of their kids in the middle of trick or treating.)
For a while we walked around getting candy, my aunt and uncle decided to go home so it was just me, Morgan, mom, stepdad, papa. At the end of the night, I saw Racheal and Sara and gave them a huge hug and told them I was going to see if I could stay at Sara's. After, I asked my mom and she was a total bitch along with Asshole, I mean my stepdad. So I rode up Papa and didn't say goodbye to my stepdad, because he's an asshole and he'll go with anything my mom says because he wants her to take him back. And she better fucking not, because if he doesn't make our life hell, I will.
