My throat went dry, the way hus eyes narrowed and glared me, I was Almont on the verge of padding out. He is handsome, six pack abs, challenging personality but the thing that makes everyone hate him is his nature. The bullying nature. Even today when the old friends or old classmates accidentally stumble by and see him, they sweat only by getting a glimpse of his face.
"I.. I" I fumbled.
Honestly I was never courageous enough to open my mouth in front of him. He threatened me like the monster of any horror me that I could not take my stand ever! He motioned me with a light nod to go on. And I couldn't for my voice wash gone. I could not speak any way in front of him.
He waited for a minute or two until, "Fine, this is the first and last time I'm letting you go. Font you dare be extra smart in front of me." he sighed freeing my hand. I held my heart thanking my stars.
However I wonder how on earth did he become so understanding that he letme go without any punishment? In the college he would, not on any cost let Any student go without having them answering his questions. Even if he were satisfied with the answer, he would end up giving them the life long threatening memories.
"You really have changed? I can't believe it."... I murmured.
He looked at down at my face like a tall man looks down for a kid listening to her words. I backed away moving near my room's door again to me on safer side that if he does anything then I can at least run in and get myself locked until Randhir comes.
Rather, he does sonething I could've never think him doing so, "Come on we are playing UNO" i was dragged by my elbow unless we came to the hall that has the Uno cards already distributed for two people with two bottle of softdrink and KFC chicken buckets.
Uno!!! Really he wants to play uno with me?
Gosh, I was just loosing my mind, nothing else. Everything that was happening with me right now was too alien to believe on. I got to marry my freaking ex boyfriend who I loved like my heart beats, then we moved in together in a new apartment he bought for us and now I was sitting across his bully brother on the floor with uno cards in my hands playing with him even though I didn't want to.
I was liking it. At least this life was better than my life before marriage. I would only have been sitting in my room during weekend, think about the past, cry on the empty and hollowness in my life and sleep. I was now being able to live my life properly like a living being.
"Uno?"... I announced, I was left with only a Single card that was too the 'Plus 4' card.
I cannot suppress my chuckles seeing sujoys face. Through out the round I made him take so many cards and now he had a whole bunch of them while here I was sitting on uno. "Hmm you look dumb but you're freaking intelligent!" I don't know whether it was his compliment or taunt, yet whatever it was I whole heartedly accepted it for his idiotic expressions were worth watching.
Sujoy thought for so much time as to what should he do next, and then he threw a 'Plus4' card on me. I pretended to be very sad where from within only I know how happy I was. "You might be intelligent but I'm an ace in playing uno? None can win this game against me." he self praised himself and I rolled my eyes.
"Come on, take it.".. He took a sip from his soft drink laying down on his elbow partially. I nodded in yes that his proudly pulled him collars nevertheless the next moment when I threw my plus 4 card on the floor he screamed loudly hitting his head in defeat.
Gosh I was damn happy. "freaking hell? How's that even possible?" he exclaimed. The guy who had always troubled me on the college was now sitting in front of me like a loser! I did a happy dance running all around in the house shouting loudly 'I won! I won! " and there, he like a stupidest person that he is, preferred to eat chicken rolling his eyes.
I twirled and whirled around-the-clock everywhere in the house. There was a no stopping to my excitement until," Ahh hawww sanyukta? Not again. " I covered my mouth in fear because I knocked Randhir down in happiness!
Ohh sanyukta, your really a trouble maker ass!
"I'm sorry I'm. Sorry I'm sorry." I bent down pulling Randhir to sit straight, I can see he hurt his back.
Sujoy was enjoying the scene eating now from, what the fuck, my bucket shamelessly. He was on his stomach resting on a big fat feathery pillow that I bought." Will you ever sit quietly or is it necessary for you to create mess around. Around me, to be precise?" he rubbed his left arm.
"I'm sorry actually I was too happy to see you coming in." I told you him rubbing along on the affected area. "You know I defeated your rowdy brother today. He's so dumb I'm telling you." I kaughed on my own joke while there, my laughs faded away within a second realizing that, Randhir was intently gazing my face as if he has never seen me ever before.
I stilled, my heart beats started to grip the pace. His eyes never left mine and the expression he held were like stomach churning.
Author's pov...
Sanyukta looked down sensing her cheeks turning red over his burning gaze however what she didn't know was the immerse turmoil plating inside of him. "He's not dumb, you're too innocent that you can't understand the difference in his behavior. You didn't defeat him Sanyukta, he purposely lose so that you can win!" Randhir spoke to himself looking towards sujoy who smiled with hands raises high up in surrender.
Randhir caught him?
The two brother talked using only their eyes that poor sanyukta could hardly understand anything. The two of them smiled, looked down then sometimes at sanyukta then finally at her finger that has his ring on it. It was their proposal ring that Randhir gave her years ago while proposing her.
She still have it?
He was intrigued to see her affection towards him. Inspite of experiencing the worst of heart break, unexpected betrayal and his cruelty she was still ready to love him madly. Indeed Randhir rejected one of the most precious gift of the life he was presented with, by God.
"It still hurts?" she inquired with a pout again hanging on his shoulder. This act of hers made randhi r to pull her close and kiss her forehead affectionately.
"Nope, not like before." he replied hugging her close to his heart.
Agreed he took some of the most nonsensical decisions in life yet it wasn't too late to mend things right? Uhh, maybe that's why now sanyukta was standing in his arms being hugged tightly because he understood her worth in his life.
Or maybe because of something else?- Uhh, only God knows.
