Chapter 24

“That’s how it is with me and King…but are you hungry?”

“Yeah.”

“Let’s go get something to eat because I’m starving too.” Brea said.

“Alright, let me take Alyssa to her dad.” I said getting myself together then going out the door to see King and E sitting & talking.

I handed her to him and he looked at me.

“You going to see your boyfriend?” Ezra asked looking at me.

“No E, Brea and I are going to get something to eat. Do you want anything?”

“Yeah, just whatever. You know what I like.”

“K, bye. I love you.” I said kissing him on the lips.

“I love you too.” He said staring at us as we got in the car and pulled off.

Okay so we took an hour longer because we stopped at a few shopping stores to get Alyssa some clothes then we got the food and was pulling back up in the driveway and my friends were standing outside with King and E.

I wonder why they are here, they never show up unannounced.

I got the bags and food and E walked over to me grabbing the things out my hands.

“Took you long enough Bella.” He said eating fries out the bag.

“Sorry babe, we stopped at a few stores.” I said.

“So you can’t answer the phone for us anymore?” Imani asked walking over to me with the rest beside her and LaMaya was there with them.

“Guys, I don’t feel like this today. I have a baby who cries enough as it is, I don’t need ya’ll adding to my plate.” I said looking at them.

“I called you several times and you never answered the phone Zoey.” LaMaya said looking me dead in the eye.

“Lala, I’m sorry. I didn’t have my phone.” I said.

“It’s in your hand.” Sky said.

I looked down in my hand and didn’t even realize it. I wasn’t ignoring them on purpose, I just got a little busy.

“Can ya’ll please leave her alone? Me and her did a little shopp-”  Brea said but was cut off by LaMaya.
