So why does it hurt so much.

I couldn't be more proud of you.

So why does it hurt to tell you.

Maybe it's because I'm jealous,

Forever stuck in a funk.

Maybe it's because you're just really special and this pain has nothing to do with you.

It's just all me.

Or maybe it's because you're not hitting these milestones with me.

We're not in this together like I so wished we were.

You mean the word to me,

So if it's possible,

Just a little,

I'd like to be happy for us.

I'd like to be proud of us.

And I really don't want it to hurt so much anymore.
