" So he wants to talk?"

I was drinking my iced coffee and was answering deals that people wanted to have with me. Nia was on break right now so we were just talking.

" Yea, and I haven't been in a relationship in awhile so I'm fine with that."

" He is handsome so you better keep him on a tight leash. And he seems like a good man, yes honey. My sis went through a Shrek to a Hershey chocolate."

I laughed, " Shut up. He wants to go get lunch in an hour."

" Oh okay. Well wherever you go, you know what I want." She stood up and grabbed her things.

" Have fun."

I was parked in front of Eli's shop because he wanted to drive. I don't know why we couldn't just meet up but  I'm here now.

I texted him and told him I was outside.

A few minutes later he came out. He was searching for my car so I turned my car off and hopped out.

He seen me and start walking towards me.

" I know you are probably confused on why I had you come over here so I can drive but I got a good explanation."

I nodded, " Okay, let's hear it."

He looked up thinking and then shrugged, " Okay, I don't. I just wanted to see you early."

I laughed, " Really Elijah?"

" You look good girl."

I felt my cheeks getting red so I put my head down a little bit.

" Oh no, put the head up."

He tilted my chin up so I can look at him, " I see them cheeks turning red but it's cute."

" Alright. Where do you wanna go for lunch?" I needed to change this conversation asap.

" We can go to Dave's if you want."

Dave's had the best burgers in the city. It was always packed so I would just order it and sit in my car.

" Yea, we can go there."

We got in the car and he drove of course. I plugged my phone to the aux and put on some RnB. You know the old music you can make love too, yeaaa.

Mary J. Blige Be Without You began to play and Eli looked at me crazy.

" What do you know about this?"

" Honey, I know my music. Just because I'm Latina doesn't mean anything."

He nodded and licked his lips, " Yea I heard Latinas will have men acting crazy."

Now I looked at him like he was crazy, " Everyone knows this just to warn you though, don't get on my bad side. You might have no car if you mess with me."

" Really? You get down like that?"

I shrugged, " Or no life, who knows?"

He shook his head, " You are definitely crazy."

" I know."

I was currently at Gios house right now because I had to drop off some clothes I bought for Junie. The lunch went good. I'm glad it wasn't awkward which I kind of expected that because Eli wasn't afraid to speak his mind. Which is a good thing, for now.
