Dinotredine the rot lizard wyvern is a species of leviathan that has evolved a fully terrestrial lifestyle. It lives in the Rotten Vale and takes full advantage of the environment's soft ground to dig through; in doing so, its body gets covered by the rotten flesh and skins of the dead. Dinotredine appears in the following areas (1,2,3,4,6 and 8.)

Dinotredine's name comes from the Latin word dino which translates to terrible and putredine which means rot.

Dinotredine's skin is dark green almost black, but the spikes on its back are a dirty white making them look like ribs, and finally the meat on its body is dark red.

Although Dinotredine has no element it is still very much a threat to the player. With bleeding and stun as its ailments it can still give you a run for your money. However it does have its weaknesses: ice and dragon. Dinotredine is slow above ground but is really fast underground so just like Diablos using scream pods to force it to the surface makes the battle easier.

(Battle theme, i don't own the video.)

Dinotredine's ancestors lived in the Rotten Vale when it was underwater. When the seabed was forced upwards its ancestors became trapped, but over time they evolved to become great diggers and create all the tunnels that they and other monsters use to move around the Rotten Vale. When Dinotredine surfaces the spikes on its back impale the flesh, skins and sometimes entire bodies of dead creatures, this makes it look like a carcass. Dinotredine's teeth have fused to allow it to bite through bone to get to the marrow inside.

So Dinotredine is a subterranean monster that you will not see coming until it's too late.
