sitting on the five hour plane ride felt like hell knowing you weren't with me.

we haven't seen each other in months, yet i still long your embrace, always imagining you're next to me.

my leg bounced up and down as the plane took off from my home town. the humidity of the air  allowing my hair to curl the slightest, now the air will be thin with a chill of ocean breeze.

the old woman sitting next to me reading a magazine couldn't help but notice how nervous i was and put her frail hand on my shoulder.

"you ok dear?"

"yes i'm just on my way to see my boyfriend" i smiled.

"then why are you nervous dear?"

"i haven't seen him in 5 months"

"the you should be even more excited, no need to be nervous" she patted my shoulder, and refocused on her magazine.

i sighed and looked out the window as the buildings became smaller and smaller and eventually i just saw clouds.

i put on my headphones and blasted my favorite tunes as i waited for the plane to land in another country.

i watched as the little plane on the screen got closer and closer to my destination of vancouver, british columbia.

finally, we landed and i walked off the plane and immediately felt out of place in this airport.

thousands of bodies rushing around attempted to catch their flights and buy goods. i followed the crowed to the baggage claim. i waited for the carousel to spit out my bright purple suitcase.

once it came, i tugged on the strap and i was ready to find my ride to the wolfhard residence.

i called nick, as the trip to see finn was a surprise.

"y/n? we are outside i think?"

"ok i'm heading out now"

i disconnected the call, and walked outside of the sliding doors into the fresh vancouver air, which was filled with gassy air from all the busses and cars coming in and out.
