Aria paced her room angrily, biting and pulling at her lip. How could he do that? How could he say that to me? How dare he!!!

All these how's were running around in her mind at this point. With a loud sigh she sat on the edge of the bed. She couldn't believe it had all come to this, one second their plan was working perfectly the girls and Mrs. Mathews were convincing the Chief when the unthinkable happened...

"What do you mean by we go together?" I asked nervously

"You'll be each other's dates" he stated like it was the simplest thing ever.

"Me" I pointed to myself "and him" I moved my finger to Xander "together as dates?"

"Fine, we'll go together but you have to talk to Principal Stevens ASAP to start the Halloween ball back up" I mean the words came out of Xander's mouth I saw his lips move and also the sounds come out but still couldn't believe him, of all people was agreeing to this.

"Great!" Chief Mathews clapped his hands loudly with a huge grin on his face "it's a deal then. I'll call Stevens right after I drop you two off"

"Omg! You two are going together! That's so romantic" gushed Mia.

"You're so like Romeo and Juliet" Maxine joined in.

"Girls let them be" Mrs. Mathews lightly scolded them "but just in case you forget to remember to send us pictures hon" she said winking at us.

"Huh.. Romeo and Juliet" I mumbled to myself "I know we'll end up dead for sure" but I feel only Xander heard me and even he seemed unaffected.

"Ugh!" I groaned tossing myself on the bed just thinking of it hurt my temples and then... it was like I was being flooded by one flashback after the other.

Chief Mathews dropped us off back at the school parking lot but not before unmercifully torturing our eardrums with his loud country music lip-syncing, Xander and I fought and I might have thrown both of my shoes at him...

"Fine! FINE!" I screamed throwing my left shoe towards him

"Aria have you gone insane!" Xander yelled ducking from my shoe

"Me! I've gone insane!" I countered "You agreed to our death sentence" I took off the right shoe and threw it towards him.

"I, Aria Rockwell go with you, Xander Montgomery to the Halloween freaking Ball. Do you have any idea what that means? Forget our parents, what this means to the whole school?! After seeing us being all friendly and helpful with each other!!" I seethed

"I'll take care of it, our parents and the school" he said

"Oh really! You'll take care of it that makes me feel so much better" I said sarcastically "like you said you'll take care of the Halloween Ball and convincing Mathews. Look what you got us into!!!"
