Chapter Three: She's hot

As I walked into the school, I saw a bunch of girls crowded around the bulletin board. I saw Mack standing there on her tippytoes trying to look over kids heads. I pushed my way through the crowd, looking at the soccer list. I spotted my name on the varsity squad, along with Mack, Zoe, and Alex. Monica was on JV.

"Ayy two varsity super stars" Mack joked. I laughed and we made small talk as we walked to class. There was going to be a varsity meeting in the gym after school today, and I couldn't be more excited. I did it! I made the team!

Time skip, end of the day in the gym

As I walked into the gym, everyone made excited chatter. I walked over to Mack, who was currently standing by herself.

"Hey Mack!"

"Hey what's up super star!" We chatted for a while as everyone trickled into the gym, there were only 18 of us on the team. 11 starters and 7 bench players. I saw Gallagher standing next to the coach, engaged in a conversation. I wanted to know more about her, so I figured I could ask Mack.

"Who's that?" I asked pointing towards the tall girl with slightly wavey dark brown hair.

"That's Liz, and trust me. You better leave a good impression"

"Why's that?"

"She's the team badass. Don't get me wrong, Liz is nice and polite, she just emits this confident badass aura. She's pretty noble,  often becoming late to important classes to help anyone who needs it. She's pretty quiet off the field, but whatever she does say is well thought through and smart. I don't think I've ever seen her get nervous, either. I guess that helps when she's a goalie. But everyone trusts her, her first opinions are normally right and she's the team captain. So yeah, I'd make a good first impression,"

"Oh, helps people? Does she get into fights?"

"She doesn't like to fight, but if an older kid is picking on a freshman she'll stick her nose in. She's got in a few fights, but she whips everyone. As a Sophomore she beat a senior linebacker from the football team. She doesn't like to fight though, but she'll do it if it means no one else gets hurt. She doesn't get suspended either because she'll never throw the first hit,"

"So don't mess with her, got it" I added with a laugh, and Mack giggled. I was about to add something else, when Liz started walking over towards our area.

"Go luck newbie, your the only new face so she's gonna wanna talk to you," Mack said, walking away from me to talk to some other girls. I turned towards Liz, who was now standing in front of me. She was taller than me, probably around 5'11", and I couldn't help but get lost in those confident steel blue eyes. Her jawline was sharp and her face had a slight tan. Her dark brown hair was currently down, and it reached her chest. She was really hot. Get your head out of the gutter you useless Lesbian.

"Hi, I'm Liz. Liz Gallagher. I'm the captain and varsity goalie," she said extending her hand for a handshake, I took it and couldn't help but notice how muscular she was. For someone our age she was very fit. And her workout t-shirt definitely showed off her muscles. I myself was pretty fit, but I was more lean and agile than muscular.

"Oh I know who you are. I'm Allison Yorkshire, I just moved here from Philadelphia,"

"That's cool, what grade are you in?"

"Senior year, what about you?"

"Same here"

"Your save yesterday was so amazing! I thought for sure my shot was going in!" I exclaimed, trying to start a conversation. She chuckled and responded.

"Yeah I get that a lot. Some of the kids here call me Superman,"

"I mean they have a right to, your pretty good,"

"Well thanks, your pretty good yourself. You've got some great skill moves,"

"Yeah I-" I was interrupted by the coach calling Liz over.

"It was great talking to you Allison, I'll see you around,"

"Nice talking to you too Liz,"

She gave me a quick wave goodbye and walked over to the coach. After a quick conversation she went and stood up on a chair.

"Alright! Congratulations and welcome to Beckman High School's Varsity Soccer Team! I'm Liz Gallagher, your captain and starting goalkeeper. Our very own Mackenzie Pitman will be hosting a team bonding party at her house and I would like you all to be there. Everyone who is here was on the team last year or the year before, but we do have one new member, Allison Yorkshire. Make sure to go over and introduce yourself. See you all tonight," She stepped off of the chair, her hair covering her face. She tucked it behind her ear and I instantly got butterflies. Come on Allie you barely know this girl, she could be a total dick. A bunch of people quickly came over to introduce themselves or say hello, and I exchanged numbers with all of them. I was added to a team group chat that was currently figuring out details for the party. I figured that the one number I didn't have saved as a contact was Liz, so I added her. I decided to bring some chips and dips, couldn't go wrong with that. The party was set for 7:30 and it was currently 4:00 so I still had time for homework and getting ready. Perfect.
