I walk into the kitchen and see the whole gang here
"Hey guys, what's up?" I say walking further into the kitchen and sit between Jay and Carlos on the counter, Dude sees me and walks over Carlos to sit on me so I can pet him which I do
"Did we wake you up?" Jay asks
"Nope, I was just getting ready for bed. But seriously what are you doing?" I ask looking at what Mal is doing confused
"We're making a love potion for Ben" Evie says
"And why are we doing that?" I ask
"So that he'll fall in love with Mal and she can sit closer to him at the coronation. It makes it easier to get the wand" Jay tells me
"Okay that kinda makes sense" I say, I yawn because I'm tried and lay my head on Carlos' shoulder to relax
"Are you tried?" He ask me smiling "yeah I haven't slept for a long time" I say looking up at him, are faces are really close since my head is still laying on his shoulder. It makes us both blush and look away
"All right. It says that we still need one tear, and I never cry" Mal says
"Let's just chop up some onions" Carlos says picking up a onion that was beside him
"No. It Says that we need one tear of human sadness. And this love potion gets the best so we have to follow it exactly" Mal then says
"A tear's a tear" Jay says
"That's not true, Jay. They both have antibodies and enzymes, but an emotional tear has more protein-based hormones than a reflex tear" Evie says correcting him
"Listen to you being all clever" I say making Evie smile at me
"Yeah, I knew that" Jay says making Carlos say "Did not"
"Yeah, I did" Jay says hitting him
"There you are, Mal! I was looking for you. You know, all the girls want you to do their hair! Midnight snack, huh? What you guys making?" Lonnie says walking into the kitchen
"Nothing special. Just cookies. Oh, no, no!" Mal says, but Lonnie dips her finger into the bowl and tastes it
"Wait, wait, wait!" Carlos says trying to stop her
"What? I'm not gonna double dip" she says
"Feel anything?" Evie asks
"Yeah, like maybe it might be missing something?" I ask, Jay walks over to her
"Hey, there" he says flirting with her but she just looks at him weirdly and the ignores him
"It could use some chips" she says "Chips?" Jay asks
"And those are..." Mal asks
"Chocolate chips. Just the most important food group. Wait, didn't your moms ever make you guys, like, chocolate chip cookies? Like, when you're feeling sad, and they're fresh from the oven, with a big old glass of milk, and she just makes you laugh and puts everything into perspective and... why are you all looking at me like that?" Lonnie says before noticing how we're looking at her
"It's just different where we're from" I say
"Yeah, I know. I just, you know, I thought... Even villains love their kids. Oh... How awful." She says, a tear roll down her face. Mal notices and takes the tear putting it in the bowl
"Yeah, well, big bummer, but we have to get these into the oven, so thank you so much for coming by. Really, really have a good night. I'll see you tomorrow. Evil dreams." She says pushing Lonnie out the room
"Good night" Lonnie managers to say before Mal closes the door
"See you tomorrow. Okay, boys, cookie sheet. Evie, oven. Maddie just continue sit there and look pretty" Mal say
"Yes, ma'am" Evie says , I look at Mal and say "Oki" I sit on the counter looking at the others finishing the love potion. When they are done Carlos walks over to me
"Do you want be to walk you back to your room?" He asks me shyly
"That would be nice" I say taking his hand and walking out the room but not before saying goodnight to the others which they says back. We start walking, Dude walking close behind us
"Did you talk to Ben about singing at family day?" Carlos asks me
"No, I'm planing on asking him tomorrow" I say
"Cool, ask him after Mal gives him the cookie. He'll probably like us better then" Carlos says
"Good idea" I say laughing, we continue to talk until we make it to my room
"Thanks Carlos, this was nice" I say
"Yeah, we should do it more often" he says
"Yeah well goodnight and get some sleep this time" I say thinking about yesterday
"Goodnight Maddie" he says giving me a hug and then walking towards his room, I walk into my own and then get into bed for some sleep
