I love romance novels as much as the next girl. There's the nerd that secretly beautiful and the hunky quarterback who secretly loves reading. They meet, fall in love, have some conflicts, and a happily ever after. This is super "The Fault in Our Stars", but it's just not the truth. I'm not a nerd, but I'm also not beautiful. I'm not unpopular, but I also have my fair share of lunches in the library. I don't suck at sports, but I'm far from fit. I am the definition of average. No, a gorgeous football player won't see my "inner beauty" and fall madly in love but I will find my form of happiness.

So you might be wondering,"where are you going with this?"

Welll, I just want to give a good taste of real life to the girls wishing and hoping that that super hot guy will look at you and ask you to prom. And here it is. IT AIN'T HAPPENIN'. This will seem harsh but there's a reason I kept this journal.

I met my Prince Charming. No, it wasn't love at first sight. It wasn't even hate at first sight. It was he-slowly-grew-on-me-and-I-can't-live-without-him. I met my perfect someone and he wasnt' someone particularily special. But he is mine and I am his. And that's all that matters.

Hello. My name is Alia DiHismer and my story is anything but cliche.
