"Ow, Caroline! You almost blinded me with how heavy you're going on my eyeshadow!" I teased.

"Oh Michelle, you're always so overly dramatic," she scoffed, "I'm barely even touching you.".

I should be grateful though, as tonight was a Friday night, and instead of partying and having fun, Caroline was here, helping me get ready. My best friend, Caroline, had turned 19 a few months ago, and to celebrate her birthday we had went out and partied. My 19th birthday was in about a week, and I was planning on having a early celebration tonight. The only thing on the agenda- seeing the new Paul McCartney concert!

"Just a little more pink- and there we go!" Caroline beamed, as I turned my head to face the mirror.

I couldn't help but giggle at how well she had done. At times, Caroline could be a little over eager and pushy (to put it nicely), but that girl sure knew style.

"Do you think Paul will notice me in the crowd tonight?" I smirked, laughing at the thought. Caroline chuckled, "Let's get you out of that get-up, and maybe so,". She eyed me up and down.

I frowned. "What's wrong with my outfit?" I questioned, peering down at my gray Beatles shirt and denim shorts. Caroline just giggled and threw me a white blouse and a bubblegum pink skirt. I sighed and threw on the clothes.

I had been a fan of The Beatles ever since I could remember. Paul was always my favorite, which was why I was so excited to be seeing him live for the first time tonight. I had been a fan of Paul during his Beatle era, his Wings era, and even him now in 2019. This show was even more special though, especially to such a big Beatles fan as myself, as Ringo was a special guest. And lucky me, tonight I had backstage tickets!

As the show ended, I gradually began to make my way backstage, awkwardly shuffling through all the other fans. As I finally neared the entrance, I clutched my backstage pass, and gave myself a much needed pep talk.

"You've been waiting for this your whole life, Michelle. You can do it. Caroline made you look great, own it," I quietly whispered to myself, opening the door, closing my eyes, and stepping backstage.

"You can do this Michelle," I repeated as I looked up, and a bewildered look crept across my features. "Wha- where-" I couldn't help but stutter.

As I focused on confusion on what later ahead of me, I realized that I was bound to be in for a long night...
