So obviously I only have collected Breyer horses with the exception of two other horses (blanking on brand name but starts with an S) that hang out near my lava lamp (yes I know it's 2019 and yes I still have a lava lamp) and hang out with two experimental custom Stablemates I still need to finish. Other then those two, all I have had was strictly Breyer. Breyer has come out with the line Breyer by CollectA and I have been a little bit tempted to get a few because in the pictures the molds look fairly decent they tend to have fairly realistic coloring, only thing(s) holding me back is I'm not fond of the more "rubbery" bendy plastic then the regular plastic for Breyers and I'm not fond of the kind of "half-assed" paint jobs on these kinds of toys and that's because these are toys. These guys are meant to be played with, scuffed up, maybe broken, not more on the collector side like Breyer is. Breyer is a toy company but they put out more collectibles then toy-like products in my opinion anyways.

That being said I bought two horses from two brands also very well known in the model horse community! I've seen lots and lots of posts/sales about both brands and I finally caved and I'm so happy I did. First one I purchased was Atilla - 3D printed Fjord gamblers choice with COA from Hartland! I thought this guy was gorgeous in his pictures, he looked a bit more pearly in and his lines made him look more like colored petrified wood in his promo photos which was was really what caught my attention to him. And his name is almost the same as a metalcore/partycore band I listen to on occasions, Attila. So besides the name, being a gamblers choice, first model to come with a COA, first 3D printed, being my first Hartland... He's my first Fjord mold! (Photo from Hartlands website)

I really think Breyer needs to come out with a Fjord Stablemates mold but until then Atilla or Attila will be my lone and handsome Fjord, he is a larger Stablemate size though

I'm in love with his long forelock and bowed head but his front left hoof doesn't really look like a hoof, more like a... circular block... If that makes any sense. I've been told this model is made to be painted - like a resin but way cheaper because he his plastic and a prototype since Hartland is under new management from what I've heard, but this cutie is going to remain naked while he is with me. I'm not going to even bother filing down rough edges unless he needs it. I got At(t)illa right off of Hartlands website for $15 shipped.

My second model I got from a new (to me) brand is... My first ever Peter Stone chip! This little cutie is from some of Peter Stone's earlier days, being a little over a decade old, and was just taken out of package to be photographed for sales. I found him on a Facebook sales page listed as a Stablemate, seller knew he was a PS - I didn't cheat her of anything. Since he was just taken out of package package after 15 years he did have a few rubs and lighter spots on his off side, one on his shoulder, one above his eye, a lighter painted area and missed gloss under his tail and leg area, all which the seller professionally fixed for me free of charge with a insanely close matching blue lacquer. (Photo from seller/artist after repairs)

This is the first edition of Turquoise, released in 2004! Since the only work she did to him was touch ups he is still counted as OF but I'm worried if I keep him just the way he is and I hold him a certain way I might rub off his new lacquer so...

This is the first edition of Turquoise, released in 2004! Since the only work she did to him was touch ups he is still counted as OF but I'm worried if I keep him just the way he is and I hold him a certain way I might rub off his new lacquer so I'm debating on glossing him myself but then he'd be considered a custom and no longer original finish... I tend to hold and admire my models a bit so therefore they get a few "love rubs" (omg 😂😂) and like I said, no model in my collection is LSQ or mint, but I really don't want to give him anymore flaws then he's had and I don't want to ruin the sellers/artists work so I'm torn in the middle a bit. He also was $15 shipped and had been posed for a month with not a single comment besides mine asking if he was still available and for being only $15 shipped he's one of my biggest steals in my collection and my hobby experience so far - despite his previous flaws.

I know I didn't have a "own my first Peter Stone" goal posted on my into or updated goal post it it has been a pretty decent goal of mine and is now completed thanks to this guy

I know I didn't have a "own my first Peter Stone" goal posted on my into or updated goal post it it has been a pretty decent goal of mine and is now completed thanks to this guy. Not going to lie, I really thought my first Stone was going to have to be a DAH chip - which of course I'd be more then happy to have since I could make my dream horse, but I'm glad this little dude was my first. 💙 I'm going to try and give him a name something along the lines of September and/or Sapphire (plus he looks more Sapphire then Turquoise in my opinion since he's a darker blue) since they are my birth month/stone.
